"You'll be sorry." Those words lingered in my head. Jeesh, and I thought we were friends.
I got to school the next day and stopped dead in my tracks. Flying around the school were posters stating "Harmonee Parker is head over heels for Yoon Sanha" I wanted to cry. At the front of the school I could see Annika and my old "friends" pointing and laughing. By this point I was crying. I ran off to my favorite place. An old oak tree behind the school. It was far enough away from other people, I usually went there to clear my head.
After about five minutes I noticed someone sit down next to me. It was Sanha. "So..." He said. It was probably the most awkward moment of my life. "So..." I said back. "I guess you've seen this." He held up one of the posters. I chuckled. "Your last names Parker?" I laughed. "Yeah." I said. This situation just kept getting more and more awkward.
"Is it true." Of course he had to ask that. "What do you think." I asked, unable to look at him. "I think that that there's no way the most popular girl in school likes me." He said. I looked at him. "Well... You're wrong." I said. "Huh." Was his response.
We sat in silence for a few moments. Then the most amazing thing happened. He kissed me. Yoon Sanha kissed me.
