Looks like I'm all on my own. Again.
I've (technically) got nowhere to go. Again.
Looks like I'm kind of under supervision...again.
Again, again, again. A word I've become used to. It was a word that I could use to describe my experiences, what I've done. What I've become.
"Again."
I looked around the old treehouse, there wasn't much. It reeked of dried blood and rotten meat. On the wall, there was an old deer pelt, dull, lacking life. There were also a few horns...as if they belonged to bulls or cows...
I wonder where she got those from. I'm pretty sure you can't find cattle in the woods.
I heard a snap.
I quickly left my train of thought and peered out of what used to be a window. I saw a shadow...as if someone was here...
It quickly left. That was...odd. Why would someone come near an old treehouse?
I decided to hide myself...but I couldn't find a good place. My best bet was behind a wall.
Then, out of nowhere, I heard someone...two people talking. Thankfully, I was able to hear what they were saying.
"You don't suppose that she's hiding here?" One voice said.
"I doubt it. But maybe we should double check..." The other spoke.
I bet they're looking for one of us... I thought. What if they're looking for me?
...
Ugh, there I go assuming things, again. I didn't recognize the two voices. Besides, why would two strangers go out of their way to look for some random girl?
Then, I heard the door open, my heart was pounding out of my chest, as if I was expecting Death himself to walk through the door.
But to my relief, it was just Robin...with a bloody knife...and a dead deer.
"Hey runt, I'm back." She greeted.
That nickname was new. Very new.
"Pipe down, there's a few people outside." I whispered.
She looked at me with a puzzled look. "What do you mean? This place hasn't been explored in years."
"There are two people out there and they're looking for someone."
Robin dropped the deer and walked next to me. "Chances are they're searching for me...you know, because I'm a wanted criminal and all?" She said, matter-of-factly
Right...somehow I forgot about that.
"Well what do you want us to do about them? We can't just let them in!"
Robin smiled widely. She turned my way with a crazed look in her eyes.
"Easy." She said.
"We're going to kill them."
