We were walking for about half an hour before we arrived to our destination. It was a tree-house, but it was...well, let's just say it was worn down. Windows were broken, wood was damaged beyond repair. Oh, and don't even get me started on the smell! Robin, however, seemed satisfied with this. "Well, here we are!" she exclaimed. This was where we would be hiding for the rest of our lives? This is no different than my old home! Well, at least she isn't here. I looked at Robin with a questioning expression.

"How do you live like this?" I asked. "This place is a pigsty!"

"I don't know, I guess i just got used to it." She responded. "Besides, it's less suspicious than a perfectly clean hideout in the middle of the woods."

She did have a point. What good would a hiding place be if it stood out too much? She welcomed me inside and I was greeted by the putrid fumes of rotten meat and dried blood. Disgusting! I couldn't help but clench my nose. "That smell! What is that?!" I questioned. Surely the answer couldn't be that bad, right?

She looked at me with a blank expression. It seemed as if she thought it was obvious. What did she expect from me, a runaway gangster?!

Okay, maybe it would be obvious to me...considering my former status...but I wasn't a big fan of killing people though.

"A corpse." She answered, surprisingly calm.

My eyes widened. I felt my stomach lurch and I felt like I was going to throw up. I was half-surprised. Upon seeing my expression, Robin started bursting out of laughter. There was a dead body here and she took it as a joke.

"Why are you laughing?!"

"Wow. You sure are gullible! There is no dead body in here!" she continued to laugh until she finally calmed down. Then she looked at me. "Well, maybe not. The smell's been here for a while. The blood...well...I'll tell you that story another time." To be honest, I felt relieved but dumb. I should've known. Whatever. I need to focus on valuable things. Such as where I'm going to sleep. There weren't any beds and there is no way I trust those wood floors. The redhead noticed my worries and, surprisingly, comforted me. "Don't worry. There are sleeping bags around here. As for the food? Well..." she opened up a wardrobe. It was full of weapons. "I hunt my own food. Also, as for that policy, you're responsible for your own food." she added. "Figures." I responded. I didn't expect her to get my food. Besides, I know a few tricks for hunting.

Robin interrupted my thoughts. "Well Ms. Sass, I need to head out for a while. Can I trust you to man the fort? Look around for all I care. But if you create any suspicion-"

"I know. You'll kill me."

"...good. You already know how things work around here. That will help you around these parts. Well, I'm off." she said. She walked outside and I heard a thump as she landed on the ground.

Well the truth is, I've known how this works for a long time.
