A.N: I am doing her first cause she had the best character in my opinion aside from the other Diclonius. And I will call her Kaede in this since only the scientists at the lab called her Lucy. And this occurs prior to them so... Enjoy as always, and show your love for the story in whatever way you want to.

You looked at Kaede now as you walked along, your jet black hoodie pulled up and zipped closed in the rain. She was still in the school girls outfit she took from the last house "I still don't understand why we didn't just get you some clothes from a store instead of that ridiculous outfit." You spoke in the condescending tone you usually used when she did something you considered foolish, which wasn't often, but she knew it well. "Because you said it yourself that we need to leave as small a presence as possible while we are in the cities like this. Stealing would only attract more attention wouldn't it." Clutching herself in an effort to stay warm Kaede glared at you "Besides your in that damn jacket while I'm freezing in this thing." Sighing you pulled off your hood revealing your (H/C) hair and unzipped it. Pealing it off you handed it to her "Don't bug me about it like that. Just take it Kaede." Taking it she tried to appear indifferent but still showed her gratitude with a small smile. Pulling her into an alley you stopped, looking to the sky you told her "Best to wait for the rain to pass. That way we don't run the risk of becoming ill as much." She nodded as she sat down against a wall, clutching her legs. Sitting across from her you smiled as you thought of how you two met.

You had been walking about in Kamakura when you'd seen her, you'd walked straight past each other. You had however turned and looked at her, and had started walking after her. You had always been socially inept, and had developed a habit of just following someone you wanted to talk to without generally speaking to them. You had walked for almost a mile before she turned "Why are you following me?" You had stayed silent just looking at your feet. Stepping closer she shoved her with one hand "Stop following me," you looked down "I'm sorry. I just wanted to say hi." She glared at you now "Then why didn't you. Why'd you follow me." You blushed "Um...I don't really know how to talk to people, especially girls." She turned and walked off "Then leave me alone". Later that night however you had managed to find her again. She had actually turned out to be the one behind the recent murders, and after hiding the bodies for her. And almost getting torn apart by her for following her, you managed to somehow convince her to let you stay with her. Slowly you began able to act more normal the more you were together. You found out the reason for her unusual pink hair and horn like protrusions from her skull was that she wasn't human. She was a Diclonius, the next stage of human evolution to some. These were their identifying marks, the pink hair and horns. And their ultimate advancement? They each possessed a varying number of vectors, invisible hands of different lengths that varied from Diclonius to Diclonius that could cut through almost anything. Something you and Kaede used quite often

You must have fallen asleep because the next thing you knew Kaede was shaking you awake and the rain was gone. "(Y/N), can we get moving now? We only have a few hours till it's dark" looking up at the sky for a moment you saw she was right. The sky had an amber color to it, and the sun was low on the horizon. If you weren't trying to travel as far as you could before the sun went down you would have enjoyed it. Standing you brushed off the dirt from your jeans and nodded "Yeah let's get moving Kaede." Before you could even take a few steps she pulled your sleeve, turning you were handed your jacket. "I don't need it now that the rain stopped, thanks for letting me borrow it." Taking it you put it back on, not bothering to zip it. "Not a problem Kaede," smiling at her you continued on your way out towards the edge of town.

Sitting down on the couch you watched the news report on the TV. You and Kaede had found a rather out of the way house not all too far from the town, but still far away. After clearing out the inhabitants and you hiding the bodies, Kaede had wasted no time peeling off the outfit and turning on the shower, you may have been partners in crime, but she still saw you as a human beneath her, feeling no embarrassment at being seen like that. Hearing the water shut off you knew she was done as the report began to cover the few killings in a city from awhile back that the bodies had only now been found. You recognized the killings as you and Kaede's work about a few weeks ago. Hearing her before you saw her, Kaede leaned against the back of the couch as she watched the report with you. "It's pathetic how they only just now found them, they've been dead weeks." Kaede told you as the report neared it's end, "They are. But their still smarter then you give them credit for." Looking back at her you saw her head was resting on her arms, one folded over the other on the couch back. Smiling confidently she looked at you "Just cause some of them are smart doesn't mean any of them are equal to me." You shrugged and replied "What makes you think your all that great. Your just a killer girl" she rolled her eyes "Says the one who met me by almost stalking me." Blushing you looked away "Oh whatever." She smiled victoriously and patted your shoulder "Sorry that was mean." You nodded "Yeah it was." Standing straight up she stretched, exposing her now developing chest. Resisting the urge to stare, or even look for that matter, you asked her "Hey before you go to bed could you break open the basement for me? Its bugging me not knowing what's in there." Sighing she replied "Sure, lazy" standing and following behind her, you smiled. She may tease you, but you were friends and willing to help each other. Headed to the door you both watched as her vectors easily busted open the door. "Thanks, now go to bed nudist." You replied stepping into the stairwell. "Ok." She turned and left without another word. "Holy shit! Jack pot!" You yelled as you saw the treasure trove of weapons, it looked like a Call of Duty weapons vault. You saw assault rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns, SMG's, LMG's, grenades, knives, explosives, you were in heaven. This exclamation got Kaede's attention as she came back "What's so interesting that you had to yell like that" she stopped "Oh Goddamnit." She said seeing the armory of a basement that this place was. "Can we please live here Kaede please for the love of God I will do anything." after an hour of back and forth trying to convince her you won and got to let you both live here.

Smiling you hugged Kaede as you came back from another today of work. You both were about 20 now and you were working at a rather well paying office, eager each day to come home to your girlfriend. "So did work bore you again babe" she said losing your cheek. Chuckling you replied with "Anything that doesn't involve you generally does" and pulled her in for a hot kiss. Wasting no time she started pulling you back to your room.
