Nikita's POV

It was really cold and Storm stayed at my side the whole time trying to keep me warm. Even in my warm clothes and thick cloak it was still so cold. Gandalf was beside me making sure I wasn't to cold. At least I could walk on top of the snow like Legolas.

That helped as did Storm's warm body beside and constant movement. Boromir looked like he wanted to say something mean. But Storm growled and Gandalf gave him a stern look.

Then I heard a voice in the air so did Legolas and Storm. Storm pressed close to me growling louder then he was before. Suddenly a huge gust of wind and snow appeared. Gandalf tried to stop it, but it was to late and we were buried in snow.

I started to pass out because of the cold. I tried to get free of the snow but it was to thick. Just as I passed out Aragorn and Storm pulled me out of the snow.

The others searched for the she elf and her wolf. Then the wolf jumped out of the snow and tried pull something out. Aragorn saw who it was and pulled Nikita from the snow. Gandalf knelled and checked her pulse.

"She is very weak, we need to get her out of this weather now" he told the others. Aragorn put Nikita on her wolf's back. He covered her with another cloak and they decided to go through the mountain instead.

When they got to the door of the mine Gandalf read the inscription. Legolas started a small fire and Aragorn took their supplies off the pony. Sam said goodbye to the pony. Storm sat by the fire with Nikita leaning against his side.

The moonlight  hit her body and she started to stir. Storm nudged her side as Legolas shook her shoulder gently. When he looked at her face he saw her purple eyes open staring at him.

Nikita's POV

I awoke to a pair of blue eyes and blonde hair. "Are you alright?" Legolas asked touching my cheek. I nodded and snuggled closer into Storm's warm soft fur. Everyone was happy to see me awake and Gandalf asked for my opinion on the inscription.

"It is riddle speak the elvish word for friend and we may enter" I told them. Frodo asked want the word was and Gandalf answered him. The door opened i stood up and we entered the mine slowly.

When we saw the dwarf skeletons Storm growled standing beside me protectively. I grabbed one of my knives as we started to back out of the mine. Then I heard the hobbits scream behind me and I turned to see Frodo lifted into the air by a tentacle.

Legolas and I grabbed our bows and started to shot arrows at the creature. It finally dropped Frodo and Storm caught him on his back. We run into the mine as the entry collapsed on the creature.

Before we went through the mountain I changed back into my old clothes behind a pillar. Gandalf lead us through the mountain using hos staff as our light. When we got to a fork in the road three days later. Gandalf could not remember the way so we rested.

Legolas sat beside me and Storm against a wall. I thanked him for looking after me when I was unconscious. He said it was his pleasure and told me how Aragorn helped Storm pull me from the snow.

I sent Aragorn grateful look and complemented Legolas bowman ship. "You are also good with a bow" he told me and I blushed lightly. Storm barked and pointed towards the middle tunnel. I told Gandalf that was the way to go and we went that way.

Pippin asked how we knew where to go if Gandalf didn't remember. "When in doubt little one always follow your nose" I told him looking at Storm. We got some sort of large hall when Gimli ran into a side chamber.

The rest of us followed him and I saw the tomb. I was sadden by the dwarves death as I met them once before at the start of their journey sixty years ago. Gandalf read Balin's last entry as Pippin held his hat and staff.

Then there was a loud crashing sound and we turned to see Pippin near a will. Gandalf scolded him as he took back his things as we heard drums. Aragorn and Boromir went to barricade the door. Boromir told us they had a cave troll as Legolas and I prepared our bows.

The hobbits had their weapons ready and stood behind Gandalf. Storm was at my side waiting for the fight to come. Then the door was broken down and the goblins arrived with their troll.

The fight began and Storm didn't leave my side neither did Legolas. The three of us fought side by side until Legolas jumped onto the trolls head. I watched him and didn't pay attention to my surroundings. The next thing I know is I become unconscious for a second time.

The fight was over and they noticed Nikita had been hurt. Storm growled when Aragorn tried to approach her. "We will not hurt her Storm, please let us check her wounds" Legolas told the wolf calmly holding his hand out.

Storm let Aragorn and Legolas approach Nikita's body growling at the others. "She only has a concussion put will be out for awhile" Aragorn told the others. They sighed in relief as Legolas put Nikita's body on Storms back taking her quiver of arrows.

They headed towards the bridge at a ran before they were surrounded. The fellowship formed a circle around their unconscious member. Then there was a massive roar and the goblins fled the scene.

At the broken stair case Storm jumped across with Nikita on his back with Legolas beside them. When the fellowship arrived at the bridge the beast appeared. Gandalf blocked its path telling the others to flee.

He destroyed the bridge, but the fire whip got his ankle dragging him down. Frodo tried to reach him but Boromir held him back. Storm and Legolas lead the group back into daylight.
