His lips curled into a sly smile.
"I guess we will, Kira." He said quietly.
"Well I better be heading backstage, they're gonna be letting people in soon, and you're not gonna wanna be out here when they do." I laughed.

"Trust me" I said "No one's gonna be excited to see me when you're here." Kellin laughed, playfully shoving me. I could feel my cheeks burning. Why did I get like this around him?
I sighed as he began to walk off stage, but I stayed in place. He noticed, turning around.

"You alright?" He asked, leaning up against one of the amps. I hadn't thought about it until that moment. Was I alright? Everything was finally coming together and I hadn't actually taken a step back to think about it. I smiled, nodding. He smiled, walking back over, gently taking one of my hands in his. My heart began to race.

"You're gonna be just fine and I'll be right over here if you need me." He said sweetly, giving me this gentle smile. And I could tell he meant it. His tone was sincere this time. I slowly intertwined my fingers in his, keeping my eyes locked on him.

"Thank you. For everything." He shrugged, his smile growing, enough to show teeth this time. He never smiled with his teeth. I wish he did more, he was quite handsome.
"I mean it." I said "This is.. Huge for us." He moved in closer and reached out for me, gently taking hold of my shirt and pulled me in even closer.
"Kellin.." I said. He giggled, now leaning his forehead against mine. I couldn't help but smile.
"What?" He said sweetly, now staring back into my eyes. My heart was pounding. I wanted to kiss him. God, did I want to kiss him. And he could tell. He could read me like a book. He then leaned in passionately kissing me on the lips. His hands slowly moving to my neck to my face, pulling me in closer. My heart was pounding, but I tightly grabbed onto his shirt, pulling him even closer.

It wasn't long before I heard the doors start to open just outside. That was exactly what I needed, everyone outside seeing me making out with Kellin Quinn before the show. That would ruin everything I was trying to prove. I moved away, looking down at my feet. He tried leaning back in.
"Kellin.." I said, holding back my smile. He sighed, tilting my chin back up. His eyes met mine again. He was so beautiful, there was no denying I thought that now. He then took my hand in his and motioned towards backstage. I could feel my cheeks burn, but I nodded.

He quickly lead me past the tech and stage crew before making it into a small dressing room towards the back of the building, shutting the door behind us. I hopped up and sat on one of the counters.
"You sure know your way around here, don't you?" He shrugged.
"I guess you could say that."
"You sneak a lot of girls around?" I asked, swinging my legs back and forth. I avoided his eyes. Part of me didn't want to know the answer to that.
"Not at all." He laughed, making his way over to me. My eyes were locked on his as his face was now inches away from mine. He was quiet, but a gentle smile stayed on his lips. His smile was contagious.

"What is it?" I asked. He shrugged again, now moving the hair out of my face. My cheeks burned at the feel of his touch.
"I should be going on soon." I finally said, breaking the silence. He sighed, leaning his forehead back against mine.
"Can I take you out one night?" He finally asked. I couldn't help but smile.
"What?"
"I want to take you out one night. Just us. Dinner, maybe? None of.. this to get in the way." He motioned toward the stage.
"You keep saying you can't like me until you know me, well, I want you to know me." I bit my lip. He was asking me out on a date? An actual date?
"So what do you say?" He asked. What harm could one dinner do, right? I guess I hadn't realized how long I had been thinking about it.
"Kira.." He sighed, moving closer. He hid his face in my neck. I laughed at the feeling of his lips on my skin, but I loved him like this.
"Hmmmm.." I said. I could feel him smiling. His kisses then became harder. I grabbed onto his shirt, pulling him closer, wrapping my legs around him. His hands had moved to my waist, pulling me up against him. My heart was pounding.

"Okay.." I finally sighed. "One dinner."
He moved away, his eyes meeting mine once again. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and got lost in those eyes once again.
"You're beautiful.." He said quietly. My cheeks burned.
"I.. should get going, the guys are probably looking for me."
"So it's a date." He said. I giggled.
"We'll see.."
"I'm not letting go until you admit we're going on a date, Kira."
"Kellin" I laughed "I need to go."
"Then just say it!"
"Kellin!" I tried moving away. He laughed, holding me tighter. I secretly didn't mind. I then leaned in, gently kissing him.
"Okay.." I sighed. I felt him let go. He looked back at me, half surprised, half relieved.
"Okay what?" He said smiling. One of his hands had moved back to my neck and was now in my hair.
"Okay.. We're going on a date." I said, kissing him again. I felt him smile. He then backed away.
"I'll walk you to the stage." He said, holding his hand out. I hesitated. I had made a point that I didn't want everyone to think I was only here because of him. But surprisingly I was starting not to care. His smile made my heart melt in my chest. I hopped down off the counter and slipped my hand into his, intertwining our fingers. I avoided eye contact with everyone on the walk back.

I could hear the crowd the closer we got to the wings. My heart was racing. It was our first show of the tour, our first show of a sold out tour with one of the biggest bands today. Sam looked up at Kellin as he walked me over, his eyes lighting up. I smiled.
"You ready?" I asked. Sam nodded enthusiastically. Jason wrapped his arm around him.
"Is your boyfriend here to wish us luck?" He asked, looking over at Kellin. I gently slipped my hand out from his grip.
"He's not my boyfriend, Jason."

Kellin ignored the comment.
"I am here to wish you guys luck, actually. You're the ones hyping up the crowd for us so I have to make sure you guys do a good job, right?" Jason smirked, and looked back at me.
"Right. Well, thanks again. This is a great opportunity for us." Kellin nodded.
"No problem."

And soon, the show has started. The lights went down and the cheers of the crowd grew louder and louder. My heart felt like it was gonna pound out of my chest. I squeezed Kellin's hand again. He leaned in close, I could barely hear him over the drums at this point.
"You're gonna do great. I'll be right here the whole time." He said, moving away, giving me a sweet smile. I sighed. I hated whatever was coming over me but there was no way I could deny it. I quickly leaned in, stealing a kiss before running out onstage.
