Chapter 14

Camila's POV

I wake up to my phone ringing oh so very loudly in my ear. I look at the caller ID and see that my Lolo is calling me. I look across the room to see Destiny is still sound asleep. So I pick up the phone.

"Hey Lo." I said.

"Hey baby girl you up? It's 9 o'clock. Have you started getting dressed yet?"

"I just woke up actually I'm gonna start getting ready right now." I say into the phone.

"Ok well Ally, Dinah and Mani said were all gonna meet up with Carter and Austin at the big fountain in the middle of the campus and all go over to the party together ok."

"Ok that's fine. I'm gonna wake up Destiny and let her know what the plan is." I tell her

"Ok we're gonna meet up there at 10 o'clock so be there on time."

I roll my eyes. "Okay Lauren we'll be there on time." I say

"Ok beautiful I'll see you later."

I roll my eyes once again at her cuteness. "Bye Lolo." I hang up the phone.

I get out of bed. I walk over to Destiny's bed and tap her on the shoulder. "Destiny, Destiny." I whisper. She's starts to stir and I shake her one more time. Her eyes opens and she looks at me.

"The guys want to meet up at the fountain at 10 so we
should start getting ready now." I tell her. She mumbles an "ok" and rolls out of her bed.

We both grab our stuff we need to take a shower and head out the room. When we get to the showers there's only 2 other girls in there.

I start the shower and adjust the temperature of the water. I strip out of my clothes and step into the shower. As I'm washing my hair I hear a voice but not just any voice. It's a beautiful voice singing the lyrics to Beyoncé's song Resentment.

I finish up washing my hair and grab my towel getting out of the shower. I notice that voice is coming from Destiny's shower stall. She has such a beautiful singing voice. I grab my dirty clothes from the floor and head back to my room.

I open the door to my room and throw my clothes in the dirty clothes hamper. I start drying off my body when the door opens again and I'm walks Destiny. She smiles at me and walks over to her side of the room.

"You have a very beautiful singing voice and your voice fit that song perfectly." I say to her.

"Thanks girly. A lot of people always tell me that I have a nice voice but I don't really think nothing of it. And that song is like my favorite. I sing it all the time, well only because it reminds me of Lauren."

"That song reminds you of Lauren. How?" I ask.

"Well you see Lauren and I have always had a rocky relationship. Our relationship started by a fight, and that fight started because Lauren lied to me about getting a girl pregnant. So the-"

"Wait so Lauren has a baby." I interrupted.

"We don't know. She refuses to take a DNA test so I mean the baby could be hers but nobody knows for sure."

Lauren could possibly be a father. Honestly I'm shocked but I'm not surprised.

"So that's the main reason that song reminds me of Lauren. And also she has a lying problem. She lies about everything." She explains. "Like i know that Lauren be texting and having sex with other girls for a while now. I just choose not to say anything because I know that if we start arguing it's gonna turn physical... and I'm not ready for that kinda physical and emotional hurt again.

I look away from her because I'm guilty of contributing to the hurt that she's been feeling. I feel like a complete asshole.

"But it's all okay because since I've been here I've kinda been seeing someone who actually treats me like a princess. He's dating someone but he told me he was gonna break up with her because they're love is gone."

I look her in the eyes.

"I know that Lauren loves me but not that way. Her love for me is just a friend type of love not a girlfriend type of love and I'm completely ok with that... and that's why I'm willing to give her up to you Camila..."

My eyes go wide and I remain frozen.

"Why do you look so scared Camila? I already knew from the start that you and Lauren have had something going on."

"Wha- what are you talking about?" I ask surprised.

"You and Lauren. I knew for sure you guys were into each other from earlier when Lauren carried me back to my bed." She smiled. "You guys thought I was sleep but no I seen and heard everything." She smirked.

"And your not upset?" I asked.

"How could I be upset at lost feelings. Lauren was my friend first before we started dating and all I care about is her happiness and if it's not with me and it's with you then I'm perfectly fine with that." She says.

I run my fingers through my hair and sigh. "Destiny I'm so sorry I honestly didn't mean for anything to happen between Lauren and I it just happened out of nowh-." Destiny interrupted me.

"It's totally fine because while you were seeing Lauren I was seeing Carter."

My eyes go wide once again. Wait wait wait so what she's basically telling me is that we've switched boyfriends and all of us are perfectly ok with it.

"It's like a love square as I should say. Basically we've switched boyfriends and all of us are okay with it." She smiles.

Oh my gosh this is crazy. My mouth is so dry right now. I swallow whatever spit is left in my mouth.

I settle my right hand on my forehead. "I need a drink." I say.

"Well let's finish getting dressed and head down to the fountain." She smiles and helps me off the bed.
