Chapter 2 Goodbye

{Lucy's POV}
That was it school was over for the summer. The bell rag, piercing my ears. Somehow the noise still makes me jump after all these years.

"BYEEEEEEE" I shouted to all my friends as Holly and I left the school gates.

It always feels strange leaving school for the summer. People change so much in six weeks. I always feel the same, happy of course but also a little sad. Every holiday reminds me that I'm just getting older.

It was a short walk back home with Holly. We finally got to the end of my road when we started to say goodbye. We wouldn't see each other for six weeks! This was sooooo long for us. We can't last even a week without gossiping about all the latest news. Is Beyoncé pregnant again? Princess Charlotte! One direction splitting up? Zayn's new song! As you could tell we are huge fans of one direction.

"Well have a good time, I'll miss you so so much" I said.

"Don't worry you'll have a great summer, don't forget to do stuff, you lazy girl. Don't stay inside all summer listening to music and watching friends" she protested.

"Heyyyyy, don't diss friends!"

"Alright I better go then, don't want to be late for the train"

"Don't forget to text and keep in touch"

"How could I forget, love you Lucy"

"Love you too Holly"

{Holly's POV}

A tear slowly formed in the corner of my eye as we both hugged. It felt strange leaving her behind like this. I had to be up early for the train to London so I wanted to get back to finish packing.

We let go of each other and I could see Lucy was just as teary as I was. I turned around ready to walk down the opposite road of Lucy's on my way home. To be honest I'm worried about her. She's so lonely now that her parents are splitting up.
