The trip to Becky's was short and sweet. By the time we got back to mine, it was around 7 o' clock. Becky couldn't stop giggling and talking in the car, the dim light from the street lamps slightly illuminating her face. To be honest I wasn't really listening, I just casually nodded or smiled every few minutes so she thought I was listening. But I couldn't fool her, she was my best friend, she knew me too well.

"Amy, whats up?!"

I stopped the engine and got out the car, as we'd arrived at mine.

"I'm fine honestly, just..thinking about Ryan"

It pained me to say his name. Becky's bright blue eyes looked at me sympathetically. She pulled me in for a hug and I gladly accepted it. I nuzzled my face in her neck.

Becky was simply stunning but in a unique way, some couldn't see it but I definitely could. Her fiery orange locks fading to blonde at the bottom complimented her pale white face. Freckles were scattered across her cheeks and nose and she had a small dimple. Her eyes were a light blue and were always shining. She was so sweet.

"It'll get better babe, now let's go forget about shitty boys and have some fun!"

I laughed at her and we made our way up to the flat. As soon as I unlocked the door Becky grabbed the bowl of popcorn and pulled me to the sofa, where we snnuggled up in the duvet.

We talked about some boy she had met and how 'hot' he was. I was trying to pay attention, I really was. But I couldn't get Ryan out of my head.

He meant everything to me, and I thought I meant atleast something to him. Why hasn't he texted me? I missed him so much. Mid conversation with Becky, I pulled out my phone and sent a quick text to Ryan;

'Thinking of you x'

Becky snatched the phone from me and locked it.

"HELLO? Earth to Amy?"

"I'm sorry, I just can't seem get him off my mind."

I looked away sheepishly, ashamed of what I'd just admitted. I felt weak.

Becky sighed deeply, gaining my attention, I looked over to her as she began to speak.

"Listen Amy. You are my best friend, you are amazing and any guy would be lucky to have you! You don't give yourself enough credit. I know you and Ryan loved each other, but you need to try and let go. I don't see you two working..and by the looks of it..his new life is more important to him than you. I'm sorry babe, but you need to try to move on."

I knew she was right, I just didn't want to admit it. I looked at her wide eyed, trying to blink awya the tears. I wanted to be mad at her, but I couldn't. I simply smiled and pulled her in for a hug.

"I love you Becky"

"Love you too, now what did you need to tell me earlier?"

I gripped her shoulders and forced her out of the hug, keeping my hands firmly gripped on to her. My eyes were wide, as were hers.

"OH MY FUCKING GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT TO TELL YOU."

Becky didn't speak, she poked my cheek and flicked my hands away form her shoulders, then giggled.

"Spill."

"ME AND YOU ARE GOING TO THE VIDEO MUSIC AWARDS IN..BROOOOKKKLLYYN."

"OH MY GOD, OH MY FUCKING GOD, HOW!?"

She jumped to her feet and squeeled.

"I called in to the radio station and won two tickets! Oh my god Becky, think of the people we're gonna get to meet! AND they called me earlier, we have a session on the red carpet interviewing the celebs.."

Becky squealed some more, she jumped around then fell to the floor cradling herself.

"I just, I have no words..OMG WHAT ARE WE GOING TO WEAR?! It's in 3 days isn't it?"

"Don't worry Beck, we'll go shopping and find something red carpet worthy"

I winked at her cheesily, she playfully hit my arm and giggled.

"Come on, let's get the laptops and find out who's going!"

I knew Becky would cheer me up, she had such life in her, it was hard to be miserable around her. She was so easily impressed by the simplest of things, no wonder she was speechless for the event to come.

To be honest I was more scared than excited..I've never been very good at talking to people..so interviewing should be..fun?
