rose pedal pinks and reds painted the sky over a sea of green grass. Anastasia wondered the fields and sat at the tip of silent peepers hill. she closed her eyes and leaned back her hair floating in the air as her neck guided her body to the ground. her long golden hair hair fell to her bashful pink cheeks. she closed her deep blue eyes and ventured out to her dreamland in her mind. there she stood facing her love who had passed a year ago.
after minutes of staring at him examining his face remembering the memories they had shared, he smiled and stroked the side of her cheek.
"stay strong Anastasia. for me." his body blurred to colorful butterflies and a tear dripped from her eye and rolled down her now pale cheek.
"i'll try Bradley." her voice squeaked as she opened her eyes. a butterfly gracefully floated above her flaunting it's beautiful wings to the world. she reached into her denim jacket pocket, the one that Bradley would always make an origami butterfly and place in her jacket, and pulled out her silver ipod, the one Bradley bought her for their 2 year anniversary. she slide her thumb over the power switch and the screen lit up onto her face she tapped the only song she had on it, Rebel Love Song by Black Veil Brides, their song that he would sing to her when she had a bad day. she closed her eyes and listened to the band play but instead of hearing andy's voice, she heard Bradley's gentle voice singing in her ear. her wrist watch beeped to remind her that it was 10 pm. she turned the music down to 10 and lifted her head to an upright position, then stood up. she looked down the hill and saw the butterflies rise in a cloud of colors it hovered there and Anastasia whispered, "I love you, Bradley." the swarm of butterflies gently floated to her and circled around her a single yellow butterfly floated out of the others as Anastasia raised her index finger and the yellow butterfly landed gracefully on it. then a white butterfly floated out as she lifted her chin and closed her eyes, and it floated down to her nose and rested. Anastasia let out a soft giggle and smiled. the butterflies one by one rose to the sky and into the moonlight then disappeared to return the next day. the last one to leave was the yellow one. Anastasia believed the yellow one was Bradley. she believed it with her heart. she picked up her ipod and denim jacket and stared at the moonlight until her watch beeped 11. then she took in a deep breath and wandered down silent peeper hill and to her car. she drove home to her small apartment, the one Bradley bought her to get her away from her family. there they lived for a year, until the incidence happened.
she hung up her jacket and placed it on the brown rack. she trudged to the bathroom and took off her shirt and pants and dressed to her pajamas. then she strolled to the bed room and stared at the mirror with pictures of Bradley taped to the frame and scattered around the edges of the mirror just enough rom in the center to see your face. she brushed her hair and braided it loosely the way Bradley loved it. she went to the bed and crawled into the right side and left space where Bradley used to sleep. she stretched her arm out to the black side table and turned out the lavender lamp then switched on the alarm clock set to 7am then leaned back into bed. Anastasia pulled bradley's pillow down to where his chest would be and placed her head on it and drifted off to blissful sleep.
