How could they be so blind?

Their talking,
The words hurt,
They look at me,
I can't let them know they hurt,
I agree with a smile and a laugh,
When can't they see it hurts?
Are they that blind?
My brother calls me a fag,
I think he thought it was a joke,
I didn't,
But I laughed along and smiled anyways,
My dad says his greatest fear is me turning gay,
I want to cry,
I've failed,
But I don't,
I laugh, smile, and say that would never happen like I always do.
They don't know,
They don't know,
How could they be so blind.
