Scarlet woke up in a car. She recognized the mint green exterior and the black silky leather seats. She realized she was in her aunt's Fiat and Scarlet's aunt was driving. They were on their way to New York. Scarlet looked out the window at the soaring buildings. She had a swirling sensation in her stomach, that something terrible was about to happen. Scarlet took it all in, she couldn't believe that her parents were getting a divorce. While scarlet was looking out the window her aunt fell asleep. Tiny pieces of glass flew everywhere on impact with a Pine tree. The last thing she remembered was her aunt's horrific scream playing over in her head. Scarlet opened her eyes and at first everything was a blur. She saw the fog and all the Pine trees all around her. The sky was pitch black like an omen of something evil. Then saw two big crystal blue eyes staring at her from a mountain in the distance. She saw gleaming pearly white teeth focused on her ready to rip her apart. Then she saw a wolf shaped figure howl at the blood red moon and three more wolves followed behind. They all turned and walked away as if to show there dominance. Scarlet was bewildered, but she tried not to question it too much. She just thought it was natures way of telling her to back off. Scarlet never heard sounds like this and she especially couldn't recognize that one sound she kept hearing. Scarlet climbed up into the willow tree. She would look for water tomorrow, she was too exhausted. Scarlet had the same nightmare again that night. When morning came she began to climb down the willow tree, but she kept hearing a annoying buzzing noise right by her hear. Then something bit her and blood slowly ran down her leg. It bit her again, but this time she began to swat furiously. Scarlet ran into the shade and the mosquitos seemed to fly away like buzzards looking for a fresh corpse. Scarlet's throat was still sore and it was only getting worse with each growing day. Today she knew she had to find water or die from dehydration. Scarlet started searching the forest. It was almost sunset and she saw a crystal clear creek. She got so excited she jumped in the creek."Splash," Scarlet thought, but there was no splash. She opened her eyes and all she could see was brown nasty mud. "Wait if there is mud there must be water" Scarlet said aloud. Then scarlet saw the clearest most beautiful water she had ever seen. Scarlet saw a misty waterfall about a mile down the creek. She took her clothes off on the bank and bathed herself in the creek. Scarlet noticed it was getting dark so she put her clothes back on and filled up her water bottle. Then scarlet climbed in the willow tree and cried herself to sleep.(check out my other story too)
