"Steven, who's this?"
"Hi, I'm Y/N," you waved to the green being.
"Y/N, this is Peridot," Steven introduced you to her.
"Hi Peridot," you said as to walked towards her. "Steven, does she need a doctor? She looks sick."
"Why would I be sick?" Peridot sneered.
"You're green!" you exclaimed and Steven burst out laughing.
"Y/N, she's a gem!" Steven directed to the stone engraved in Peridot's forehead.
"Uh... What," you asked, confused.
"You don't know what a gem is?" Steven asked as you shake your head. He sighed, "Okay, let me explain."
"The gemstone in her forehead creates a holographic body, when her body gets injured, she poofs to regenerate. Each gemstone has their own weapons and abilities," Steven said, "I have one too!""But you look human to me," you said, looking him up and down.
"I'm half gem, half human!" Steven exclaimed.
"You're a hybrid?" you mumbled to yourself. You looked to Peridot and watched her come towards you.
"So Y/N... Does this hurt?" Peridot asked as she jabbed you in the side with her finger. You recoiled and stumbled backwards.
"What the hell!" you yelled as you regained your composure. "It doesn't hurt, it's just uncomfortable," you huffed.
"I'll add that to the notes..." Peridot said as she took out her tablet and typed some things down.
"Notes?"
"Oh, well, since the cluster is defeated, things have been quiet... so I'm studying lifeforms on earth." Peridot replied as she sat back down on the couch.
"What's a cluster?"
"A big ball of shattered gems at the centre of the earth," Steven said.
"That's weird," you said.
"It's not, it's just normal gem business!" Peridot exclaimed.
"Whatever," you rolled your eyes as you glanced at your phone, "Alright, guys, I gotta go. See you later!"
"Bye Y/N!" Steven exclaimed, "come back soon!" Peridot waved at you as you left through the door.
