"Maharani sa aap log na bahut acche ho. Vaise ek baat puchni thi. Kunwar sa or choti memsahab ki shadi ko kitna samay ho gya? ". Rani asked from under her ghunghat.

She was chopping vegetables with Renuka standing beside her.

" inki shadi ko 3 mahine ho gye hai. Tumhare aane se pehle hi hui thi inki shadi. Kyu puch ri ho vaise?" Renuka asked.

" wo kaa hai na choti memsaahab ko bahut kam ghar par dekha. Nayi nayi shadi hai toh hum logo me toh nayi naweli dulhan ghar ke baahar kadam tak ni rakhti. Log kya sochenge aate hi gharwalo ko kabu kar liya nahi toh pati ko alag karne ke chakkar me hai. " she said in her over dramatic voice.

Renuka paused what she was doing and started to think as if her words had some effect on it. But then She smiled and stated " humare gharon me aisa nahi hota. Ghar kaa Kaam karne ke liye bahut log hai or rahi dusron ki baat toh ab hume uski parvah ni. Hum bhi toh kaam karte the toh sanyukta kyun na karein. Wo capable hai."

Rani twisted her nose inside that facade.

" yahaa toh hum sath sath hai wala family drama hai huh..." She murmured.

"Renuuuu Maaaaa". A squealing voice hit their eardrums.

Renuka turned and grinned looking at her crazy daughter. Though they were not blood related but being close to them since her birth she had a piece of everybody's heart with her.

" kavya...sambhal ke beta. Aajao" renuka told her and opened her arms for her.
She stepped in her mother's arm holding her small 4 months baby bump.

" i missed you sooo much." Kavya said with a tinge of moisture in her eyes.

" aap yahaa aai hai toh no rona dhona warna humara chotu kya bolega ki mumma ko aate hi daadi ne rula diya." Renuka patted her head and lead her inside the hall.

" Vaise Renu maa sab hai kahaa? Me toh sabse milne aai hu" she said.

" sab office me hai. Sanyu ne bhi join karaa hai. Or ek kamaal ki baat she is perfect beta. Ghar bhi sambhaalti hai or office me bhi Harsh uski bahut tareef kar re the". Renuka said with a voice full of excitement talking about her daughter-in-law.

" aakhir choice kiski hai. Humare Mr. Perfect ki toh perfect toh hogi hi na." Kavya raised her invisible collar on behalf of her best friend.

" kitne din ke liye aayi hai aap? Jabse shadi hui hai bhool gyi hain sabko". Renuka twisted her lips.

" aww...me nahi peecha chodungi aap logon ka. Abhi toh me yahi hu. Vikram tour pe gye hai 1 mahine ke liye or mom dad bhi business tour pe hai toh mene socha aap ko pareshaan karu". She said giggling.

" Go and rest in your room. Hum khaane ke liye kuch bhijwate hai. Or zyada uchal kud mat karna warna Randhir ko bata denge fir wo aapki class lenge. ". Renuka strictly warned her.

" yes boss". She stood up and went to her room.

"Rani Rani". Renuka called her.

" ji" she came.

" jao or kavya ko kuch fruits or juice do."  She ordered her.

She went away amd an evil idea pooped in her mind.

Kavya was talking to Vikram over a video call when Rani entred with a tray.

" ye maharani sa ne bheja hai aapke khaane ke liye". She chipped looking at her.

" haan yahaa dedo." She patted towards the place beside her on the bed without looking at her.

Rani placed the tray and went away.

Kavya was talking while she dug the fork into the fruit and she was about to take it when Renu who was passing by came in her room.

She took the fork and kept it aside with some anger.
Kavya quickly bade a bye to vikram and looked at her.

" aapka dhyaan kaha hai kavya. You were about to eat papaya. Kisne diya ye aapko? Its not good for the baby. " renuka upped her brows.

" wo..ye..ye toh aap hi ne bhijwaya tha." Kavya stammered.

" humne bhijwaya?? Humne toh fruits bole the. Uss bevakuf ne tumhe ye dediya. Rukiye hum dekhte hai use". Renuka was about to go when she clutched her hand.

" jaane dijiye na maa use nahi pata hoga. Vaise bhi mujhe na aapke haath ka seera khaane ka mann kar ra hai. Pls bana do." Kavya said with a puppy face.

" maa ko pls bolegi? Thappad marenge. Par aaj se sirf hum aapke khaane ka khyaal rakhenge." Renuka said and exited the room with the fruit salad plate.

It was evening and time for everyone to return.

" maaaaaa". Guru screamed entering the palace.

" ha ha idhar hi hai hum chillaiye matt." Renuka came from kitchen towards the hall to see faces of her family after a long day.

" aaj khushboo bahut acchi aari hai ghar se. Aisa kya banaya tha jiski mehek abhi tak hai?" Harsh asked excited.

" wo kavya ayi hai toh uske...." She wasn't able to complete when Guru and Randhir said in surprise " kavya aayi hai??...kahaa h??"

" apne room me hai" she said.

Sanyu chuckled looking at the excited duo who at once sprinted towards their best friend's room.

" maa aaj in sabka khaana wahi lagwa dete hai. Bahut time baad mile hai." Sanyu said tying her hair in a messy bun due to the exhaustion. She was about to enter the kitchen when Renuka stood infront of her.

" kahin nahi jayengi aap. Fresh ho jaie or kavya ke room me jaaie. Abhi toh thak ke aai hain or kitna kaam karna hai?" She spoke with authority.

" serve toh kar deti hu. And as it is i m not tired much". Sanyu tried to convince her mother-in-law.

" koi zaroorat nahi hai. Chalo jao." She spoke and Sanyu surrendered going into her room.

" kavyaaaa...."  Both the brothers squealed and went to her hugging her but careful enough as to not harm the baby.

" aaraam se bandaron" she acted as if she is suffocated.

" accha ab hum bandar ho gye. Dekho baby aapki mumma aapke pyaare se maamu  ko kya bol ri hai. Aap baahar aaoge na hum milkar mumma ko bataenge."  Guru cupped his waist and spoke as if the baby was listening to his talks.

" hahahaaaaaa" he heard a series of laughter from Kavya and Randhir.

" haslo haslo baby toh meri hi team me hai. Jealous people. Dekho bhaabhi aa gyi. Wo meri side hai. " Guru went to Sanyu who just entred the room and dragged her.

" aare kya hua?? Main toh humesha se hi aapki side hu devar ji. " sanyu said making him grin from eye to eye.

"Wo sab chhodo or batao hume kab good news mil ri tum dono se"  kavya said making the couple red from shyness.

" kya tu bhi kavya pehle apna toh sambhal humara baad me dekhio." Randhir said to ease out the situation for her.

Their food arrived and the night went on with the little little talks and teasings.

" Tum logon par har baar mera aim galat jata hai. Iss baar aisa waar karungi ki sheh bhi meri or maat bhi. Saari insults ka badlaa lungi. Apne dad ki bhi or apni bhi. " Pari who was sitting on the rocking chair placed in the hall gritted her teeth at her every misattempt.
