I see you!
You pass the pitch a
Flip flop, flip flop,
Of your shoe,

Slender arms, legs, body, face,
Boy, there's a certain
Attraction about you,
I admire as you pass,

Then the glance!
A quick and curious
Peek, eye contact is made,
But you are shy and turn away,

What will it be today?
A towel around your neck
Perhaps, or black and red faces of bats,
You cradle dirty pots and pans,

Oh how you ignored me!
Certainly because of my
Company, alas not to fear,
Eyes meet again at sunset,

What is this smile?
How so very pretty and
Sincere, Tennis ball fly past,
Clunking the car next to you,

The wrong direction!
I watch you walk away from me
Why, I cannot fathom the excuse,
But around are little children,

Your lips are thin and deck chair pink,
Skies in your eyes they're the
Bluest, neat hair and freckles,
You are kissed by the sun,

To bring fun to washing up!
It is so gratifying to see you
Peeking, along the row of sinks first,
Looking away I see your hidden smile,

A clink a clonk a tap a ting,
You glance up on your lips a
Smile, table tennis is your element,
And my presence is noticed,

No chance to look!
In too close proximity to make eye
Contact, All eyes are earthbound,
Certainly because of your company,

Flip flop, you pass a final time,
Studying you in your top that read
Hawaii, Hence your name,
Golden hair highlights like the sun,

My misfortune is great...
The boot is full so you are
Leaving, your back is turned,
You do not see me,

I never knew your name,
And hoped you would stay longer,
But I enjoyed glances of our game,
You made my heart stronger,
Shyness never spoke a single line,
You're a Polaroid in my memory,
I'll miss your presence but it's time:
Goodbye Hawaiian Boy, Goodbye.
