An unauthorized car pulled up in front of the bookstore. The window rolled down revealing Nicholas's face. "Sir, are you off of work yet?" He yelled out the window to his master. Maze, Lucifer and Quincy left the bookstore and approached the car. " Ah look, you made a friend!" Lucifer whispered under his breath, "A know-it-all friend." Maze giggled at his comment.

Nicholas drove them to their hotel and let them out. "I'm going to park the car, be nice to your new friend." Nicholas drove off.

Lucifer and Maze escorted Quincy to the suite. When they walked in, Nicholas was in an apron in the kitchen cooking dinner. "How did he--" the author tried to fathom what happened. "Sit, sit. Dinner will be ready in a few seconds." Nicholas said with a smile on his face.

Five seconds later, Nicholas placed the food on the table. The author stood up and began, "How in the Devil's name did you prepare all of this in five seconds? I just saw you take the raw chicken from the refrigerator!" Nicholas smiled at him and sat down in his chair.

"You see," Nicholas began, "I already know who you are. Whatever my master wishes to tell me in secret, he tells me. In the car, I was filled in with all the details. And my oh my, you're one interesting S.O.B. you are!" Quincy's face glistened with confusion. "This is amazing!" He yelled. "I can't believe I am meeting the real Lucifer Morningstar in person!" Lucifer stood up from his table, mad. He started, "Do you think this is a game?" His eyes turned blood red as more anger filled his darkened soul. "How dare you sit here, in my house, and glisten at the thought of you meeting me!" Lucifer walked up the author and grabbed him by the collar. "You are just a- a disgusting creature in this loathsome realm. Why are you happy at the sight of meeting me?" His eyes went back to normal as he released his guest's collar. "You're the first soul I've touched with my own hands that doesn't burn up." The whole room fell silent. Five seconds later: "Wait a minute, you touched my soul?" The author said searching his shirt for a hole.

"How did you get all of this information about my life?" Lucifer said staring his dinner.

The other two were stuffing their mouth full of amusement. " I'm surprised this man is still breathing after Lucy touched his soul." His brother whispered to Nicholas. Nicholas peered at him and then back at his master and the author.

"I have no clue," the author started. "I just woke up one hot summer's day and began writing and drawing about this wonderfully grotesque creature. I didn't know I was actually writing about the devil himself. Until..." The author stopped and shoved some of the food in his mouth. "Until... What?" Lucifer repeated impatiently. "Until, I started to question why I started writing this story..." The author took a sip of the liquid refreshment. "I fell asleep one night and began dreaming of, you.. Er, the King of Hell, I mean. When i woke, I was at my writing desk, drooling all over a blank page. To my surprise, I woke to three more books drawn with dialogue. That is when I started to question myself about these books. To this day, I have not found out why I am writing these books..."

Lucifer placed his hand against his face and started to think. He replayed the whole story in his head and looked at the author. "He's just a mere human," Lucifer began thinking. "There's no way he could--" he was interrupted by his brother popping in his head. "Sorry little brother, but his story seems very unusual, plus you said his heart didn't desiccate at you touch... Have you thought about him being a 'Teller?'"

Lucifer looked at the author and said, "Did you hear a voice... In your sleep that night when you finished more of the books?"

"Hm," the author said to himself... He looked down at his hands as he started thinking back to that night. "I don't think I did hear a voice, sorry." The author looked up at Lucifer and finished eating what was on his plate.

About twenty minutes had passed when Quincy finished eating. He burped and said, "Thank you for the meal!" Nicholas' eyes closed as a huge smile spread across his face. "You're quite welcome."

Quincy stood up and stretched as if he was going to exercise. "It was swell having you for dinner," Maze said to the author as he smirked at him. "Here," Maze said handing him a card with his number on it. "Call if you wake up with more books written."

The author took the card and nodded. He proceeded to the door but looked back. He looked at Lucifer and then back at the door and left.
