Asking for permission (His POV)

I nervously walked towards Y/n's parents door, today I am finally going to get her fathers blessing, Y/N and I have been together nearly 4 years so I feel like its the right time to ask. I gently knocked and looked at the door waiting for someone to answer. 

"Ah Ashton it's a pleasure to see you c'mon in" Her dad smiled stepping aside so I could walk in. "So what can I help you with?" He asked and I took a deep breath. 

"So as you know, Y/n and I have been dating nearly 4 years and I wanted to get your permission to marry her" His eyes widened and then a smile appeared on his face. 

"Of course, it would be a pleasure to have you as my son in-law, I can tell you both really log4e each other" I smiled at him. "Any specific day you're going to ask her?" 

"Either valentines day or our anniversary" I blushed. "Which day do you thinks best?" I asked wanting to include him in the wedding.

"Definitely your anniversary" He smiled and I nodded, we finished talking about the wedding and said bye, I'm so excited but I don't know if it's too cliche or she'll say yeah. I hope she says yes.
