My Secret Findings

Chapter One

The wind blew threw Astrid's brown hair as she walked to school. As she arrived the bell rang for first period. Oh no. Astrid thought. I'm late again. She hurried to class. She walked in five minutes late and everyone stared at her.

"Detention Miss. Shaw" said Mr. Sietz. Astrid took her detention slip from Mr. Sietz and sat at her desk next to her best friend Conner (Ya Astrid is a boy deal with it people).

"Finally, thought your were sick" Conner said staring at her with his electric blue eyes.

" Well I'm her now" Astrid said plopping in her seat and waiting for her named to be called for role call. As Astrid waited for her name to be called she thought about how this would be her first year ever that she didn't get expelled.

"Astrid Shaw" Mr Sietz said.

"Present" I said.

After a while of Mr. Sietz Math lectures the bell rang and everyone took there stuff and left the class room. Astrid and Conner went to there lockers which happened to be next to each other.

"Hey Conner" said a girl from behind me. Astrid turned around to see it was Emma she hates her guts.

"U H-hey Emma" said Conner.

"Uck Astrid" she said.

"Uck Emma" Astrid snapped back. She rolled her eyes and walked away.

"So, Conner wanna hang out tonight" Astrid said

"Sure" he said

Astrid lives in the country with her dad John Shaw. Her mother disappeared after her birth and no one knows were she went. Every time Astrid brings it up her father starts crying so she never brings it up any more.

" DAD CONNER AND I ARE GOING TO OUR SECRET BASE." Astrid yelled and Ron into the woods with Conner following her. The climbed up the ladder to there tree house and started messing around. Then they heard a loud roar.

"What was that". Conner asked.

" Let's find out" Astrid said grabbing Conners wrist and following the sound. Then she saw a huge beast. Astrid screamed as loud as she could which startled the beast. It hit Conner like a rag doll out of the way and he hit a huge Pine tree.

"CONNER" Astrid screamed and ran to Conner. He blacked out. Then she picked up a branch and it turned into a sword. She ran at the monster and jumped on its back. All those years of gymnastics paid off. Astrid thought. She took her sword and shoved very deep in the monsters back. Then the grabbed its horns and rammed the monster into a tree. The creature bucked her off and she did a back tuck then landed on feet. Suddenly this piercing pain went threw her lower leg and she collapsed. Then this sign came up that said Cmp-Hlaf-Bolud. " Then Astrid heard a boy scream

"GROVER"
The next thing Astrid new she blacked out.
