Chapter 7: Escape

Chapter 7: Escape

I fluttered my eyes open from my sleep. I groaned. This must have been the fourth time I fell asleep. Again.

I pushed myself off the bed, swinging my legs to the side and making my feet brush against the wooden floor. My eyes scanned the room, looking for any sign of danger. But just like yesterday or the day before, no-one hardly came in. I was trapped and isolated in a room. Though, this time the room was normal and modern, it was actually quite beautiful compared to the gloomy, dark room I stayed in the nights before.

The walls were painted in a ravishing, cream colour; with beautiful painted art across the wall. A small lamp hung on the sides of the bed and white, satin sheets were sprawled across the bed messily. Large silk-like curtain draped from the top of a large window. It was pulled close, and little sunshine peeped through the sides of the curtains.

I sighed and ran a hand through my tangled hair, then pushed myself off the messy bed. Ever since the incident with Niall and Zayn, I was trapped in a room, not knowing what to do. I couldn't bring myself to face them, or any of the other vampires in the house. I seized onto the fabric of the curtain and dragged it open.

Light poured in and shined on my face. I smiled. Warmth seeped into my cheeks and skin as I looked at the farstretched land spread in front of me. It was rather beautiful and I hardly believed I lived in this world. Large trees huddled together, as the sun shone brightly on them. Different shades of green were spotted and each unique colour stood out.

My smile soon vanished as I realized I was no longer in that world.

I was now in hell

Where I would never leave.

 I turned away from the window, and walked back to the bed, dumping my body freely on to the mattress. I sat there, thinking how far away I was to the world now. But a sudden grumble echoed through the room, pulling me out of my thoughts. I clutched my stomach as hunger grumbled inside me.

I was locked in the room, famished and dehydrated for four days. Taking a daring step, I pushed myself off the bed and walked towards the door. Hesitatingly, I touched the handle of the door, wrapping my fingers slowly around the cold hard metal.

I licked my dry lips before opening a small gap for me to peep through. Unexpectedly, not a person was seen or a sound was heard.

It was just silence.

I strained my ears further, wanting to make sure there was no-one for sure but already in my mind I knew I was alone.

A small smile cracked on my dry lips as I could do the only thing on my mind.

I ran.

This time forever, without anyone knowing or stopping me.

My life will finally go back to the way it was.
