"Mrs. Whitney, we have another case for you." The receptionist stuck her head around the door frame and tentatively walked forward towards the grand oak desk.
"Another one?" Jennifer complained good naturedly, "It feels like I just put the last one in the solved pile." She laughed good naturedly, then sighed.
"Anyway, what have you brought me today, Anna?"
"It's another disappearance, I'm afraid." Quickly she dropped the file on the table and turned to leave.
"Anna?" Jennifer questioned, "What is it?"
"It- ," she sighed, "it should be a familiar type of case for you." As realization dawned on Jennifer's face, Anna continued, albeit a little hurriedly.
"She disappeared a week ago, Miss. No call or anything. She, well..." Gesturing tiredly, Anna sighed. "It's all in the file Mrs. Whitney." As she walked out she muttered to herself, "That poor woman." Turning to look at Jennifer ones last time, Anna softy shut the door.Jennifer had barely registered her secretarys departure from her office. All her attention was focused on the file. With kips pressed into a line so thin they weren't even there, Jennifer opened the file with a deep-set dread. Sure enough, staring up after we're the words: Emma Jones, missing persons report. Quickly, she flipped to the last page.
" Oh hell," she sighed sadly. "Not again."
