My Crush, Papyrus

I was sitting outside a large subdivision house with red bricks and a brown shingled roof when she arrived. It was my eight year old sister, Brooke. It was my job to protect her now that she had come home. Father Abel Nightroad typically watched her for me while I was busy, but he was away on business for the Vatican, forcing me to take time off from work. Not that I minded it, she was my adorable and loving sister after all. And, the newest development, a princess. Brooke ran over to me and I picked her up in a big hug. How I've missed her..

A couple hours later, me and Brooke were in the kitchen of the large house, that does not belong to us, might I add. I was standing next to my younger sister as she sat on the counter, drawing another picture of her beloved Markimoo. He didn't know it yet, but according to Brooke they were married and had their own pet Bonnie. When she'd bring this up, I'd make a comment along the lines of, "What about Jack? He's madly in love with Mark." And she would growl and reply with something like, "I'll kill that butthead if he touches my Doctor Markimoo Man Baby!" This was one of those times. I was laughing at her comment when the first neon green balloon flew through the window. After closer inspection, I knew something wasn't right.

"GET DOWN!!" Before anyone could really react, I was shielding Brooke's body with my own. Just in time too. Because as soon as she was safely in my arms, the balloon burst and sprayed this horrible green acid onto my back. I grit my teeth in pain, but I refused to make any sound to indicate how excruciating it was, because Brooke was already crying in fear. I wasn't going to make it worse.

After the first balloon had burst, multiple balloons flowed in. PJ, my fifteen year old brother, rushed in, and, being the smart cookie he was, didn't shoot them, but instead forced them back out the windows swiftly. I took this opportunity to hide Brooke in the cabinet under the sink.

"Stay here and don't come out until I say so, alright?" Tears streaming down her face, she nodded and hugged her Olaf plush tightly to her chest as I closed the doors. I heard static in my ear as a strange man started speaking into his radio. He told everyone that the enemies were surrounding the house and that now they're shooting the balloons themselves with darts. I went to another cabinet and opened it, my goal was to get the sniper I adored so much, but all I saw was bleach and Windex. Damn you Levi!! When the man's voice came over the radio again, I learned where my gun had been taken. My heart skipped a beat at the mention of his name. I was scared too. What was Papyrus doing with my gun?? He's too softhearted to shoot anyone! My paranoia getting the better of me, I pressed the button on the choker of my own radio thing and called out for him.

"Papyrus? Papyrus, are you there??" When he didn't answer immediately I began to panic. "Papyrus??"

"I'm here, Aka." I sighed in relief at the sound of his voice.

   "Thank God.. Are you alright?"

"Yes, I am fine." Though he tried to comfort me, his voice, shaky with fear, gave him away. Before I could say anything else, the man reported to everyone that the attackers were retreating into the woods behind the house. I hurried outside, followed by PJ, who was carrying Brooke in his arms. Since we had ran out the back door, we had to make our way around the house to make it to the front. Just as I was about to turn the corner, a strange man on a bicycle came riding up the path from the woods. He wore nothing but a life jacket and a pair of red dundunduns with yellow trims. (For those of you who don't know that term, dundunduns are speedos.) He called my name repeatedly and my heart thumped in fear.

"Stay back weird man!!" And with one last sprint, I pushed myself off the ground and into the air, pulling my knees up to my chest as I hovered high in the sky, a good twenty feet up. I could see as the police car pulled in, both officers giving me weird looks. I waved politely and smiled sweetly. They rolled their eyes. I turned to my left and saw the giant tree house in the shape of my favorite skeleton's head. I was waiting in the air impatiently, scowling at myself that the only thanks I could offer Papyrus was this Hershey's bar instead of the spaghetti he loved so much. The weird man from before pulled up and "parked" his bike next to the police car, taking off his sunglasses. I smiled sweetly and waved at him, thankful for the distraction from my pounding heart.

"Say, how long has it been now that we've known each other, John Carter?" He shrugs in indifference.

"Dunno." I giggle, and just then, I saw a head of medium length shiny black hair with a red scarf knock on the tree-skull's door. I couldn't believe it. When I turned to get a better look, my vision was blurry. I felt tears swell up as Papyrus walked out of his fort, the girl hanging onto his arm. I couldn't see him! He was too blurry! Why can't I see him?? As Papyrus headed towards the house, I saw the girl run back and put a strange pink envelope on the wraparound porch of the fort. My heart pounded again, but this time in rage, my fists clenched so tightly, I felt warm, melted chocolate drip down from my fingertips onto the dewy green grass. In an act of rage, I rushed forward, ready to torpedo this skeleton stealing whore!! But, before I could land a single finger on Mikasa, my vision completely blurred then faded to white.
