Chapter 6

"Well, there goes any chance that I had with Savannah" Miles sulks to his car thinking way to deep all the way home. Why can't I just put my big boy pants on walk up to her and be charming, I mean I'm charming I'm funny I'm cute! Tomorrow is the day when she walks into our meeting tomorrow I'm just going to do it. Yeah! I got this! Now smacking the top of his steering wheel miles pulls into his drive way smiles and makes his way into his house.

Back at Savannah's freshly painted apartment Eddy is pouncing at her ankles as she fills her water bottle and twirls around her small but cute kitchen listening to the new blink 182 album.

"Shhh calm down Eddy I'm almost ready."

Ding ding

Can't wait to see you at tomorrow's meeting-Miles

Huh that's strange but oddly comforting Savannah thinks to herself. Miles is cute but so is Jon hmmm I guess we shall she where all of this goes.

About a half hour later Savannah pulls up to the park to see Jon and Bella waiting for her and Eddy. Jon is nonchalantly leaning against his car with sun glasses on even though the sun has almost set and a head band in his hair to keep it out of his face.

"Took you long enough, I thought Bells might loose her mind running around in circles around my feet."

"Haha very funny. Im not as familiar with the area as you it took me a minute a a few to find it."

Jon winks and starts making his way to a slightly hidden path that eventually opened up wide enough for us and the pups to jog side by side on.

"It really is beautiful out here." Savannah takes a breath and looks up to the dark blue star lit sky " The trails are one of the main reasons I moved down here. See even though there's a city 20 minutes from here you can't even tell. It's so peaceful" Jon has now slowed his pace down to Savannah's slow trot as she takes in everything around her "Where I'm from you have to go hours in any direction to get to something like this, don't get me wrong Michigan is beautiful just not the area I'm from."

"I mean you do have the mackinaw bridge and the islands."

"Like I said hours away. It was about a 6 or 7 hour drive to get to mackinaw"

There pace has now slowed to a walk and are shoulder to shoulder with the pups strolling slightly ahead. Every once in awhile there hands will brush each other's and they both will grin but not at each other just to them selves. About a quarter of a mile up they take a rest on some large rocks and let Bella and Eddy loose in a large field.

"They seem to be getting along"

"They do. It's good to know Eddy will have a friend to play with to, I was worried. He's such a sociable dog I didn't want him to get dog depressed from not knowing anyone."

"Well Bella loves to play so don't worry about that. And Eddy is always welcome at the office dogs run around there all the time."

"That's good to know! Eddy will love that."

As the night winded down to an end they approached their cars and had no trouble getting the worn out pups in the car to go home for the night.

"This was really nice I'm glad you came along Jon."

"I'm really glad you invited me and Bella along." Jon reaches down and grabs savannah a hand and kisses her on the cheek. "Goodnight Savannah."

"Goodnight Jon" she says with blush cheeks and a school girl smile.
