The leaves crunched under Alfred's feet as the moonlight occasionally found its way through the autumn leaves above onto his face. He sighed. What a dashing night. Hopefully I'll have enough time to relax once I'm finished. The night was just gorgeous. The air wasn't noticeably humid, so the mosquitos weren't biting tonight. A cool wind blew whenever the time was right, and just the smell of the forest made Alfred feel welcomed.
Once I get rid of this extra weight, I'll be legitimately be free. His neck was starting to hurt from what he was carrying, and some liquids were even started to trickle down to his shirt. Plus, it was starting to smell putrid. At first he didn't mind, but now it was starting to bother him.
He froze as he heard something being dragged across the forest floor. Slowly and cautiously, he laid his object on the ground and grabbed his pocketknife, the blade flicking out. Step by step, making sure he kept close to the undergrowth, he moved towards the noise.
He saw movement through the leaves and froze. Whatever was making the noise, it was coming towards him, slowly but steadily. Alfred pressed his back onto the trunk of the tree closest to him and peered around it. In a moment, a man appeared, dragging some sort of object with him across the ground.
"Why hello there." Alfred murmured just loud enough to let the man know his presence. His blade was pointed towards the man's neck, only about three inches away. The man froze and looked at him. His brown eyes were wide, but emotionless. His black hair drifted across his face, but he didn't dare fix it. "What is your business here?"
The two men looked at each other for countless moments before the shorter male spoke. "I have already killed once today. I could easily make it twice."
Alfred tilted his head, confused for a moment, then smiled as he put his pocketknife away. "Oh, so you must have killed before as well." He said. "I've never seen you in these woods before."
The man looked down. "Hiding your evidence in the woods is a tricky move, but can be played off oh so well if done correctly. I've decided to try it out myself."
Alfred chuckled. "The first time I had to hide a body, I was so stupid. I hid it in my backyard woods. I would've been caught if he didn't argue with his husband often. Luckily he got the chair instead of me." He held out his hand. "Name's Alfred."
The stranger looked at the hand for a few heartbeats before ignoring it. "Kiku."
Alfred shrugged and put his hand back down. "Anyways, this is your first time hiding a body in the woods?" Kiku nodded. "Well, come with me. Better not leave you making mistakes, 'cause that's really easy to do in the woods."
Kiku followed the stranger to where he left his own kill. "Who's he?"
Alfred shrugged. "I was related to this kid apparently. He was really annoying, even more so after I killed off my dad, the same person I was talking about earlier. Man, did he have funny eyebrows." He laughed. "How about yours?"
"Oh." Kiku looked down at his corpse. "This guy wanted to...how do I put it...be in a relationship with me, and he acted both emotionless and rude. He became unbearable."
Alfred looked at the guy's face. "He looks like a tough guy."
Kiku scoffed quietly. "He's really not. The most I liked him for was for his love for cats, and that's it."
"Huh." Alfred said, mostly to himself. "How was your first kill like?"
Kiku shrugged. "My dad. I honestly thought he was a girl for a long time, but either way, he annoyed me. He just had to go."
"So, what sparked your bloodlust?"
Kiku thought for a second. "I'm not exactly sure. A vivid imagination I guess."
Alfred laughed. "Same." He looked around. "So anyways, lets get down to business..."
