A week passes and the school talent show comes up, Jay decides to sing a song "I Will Always Love You" and dedicated the song to Nicole. One of Jay's friends recorded Jay's song and posted it to the internet.
A few weeks later Jay and Nicole are hanging out after school nicole finally gets the nerve to tell Jay about her disease. "Hey Jay... I need to tell you something." "Yea what is it" Nicole swallows her fear and spits it out "Jay I have a-" his phone rings. "Sorry let me see who this is" Jay says "um.. Okay" Nicole says with sadness in her voice. A few minutes later he comes back jumping and yelling with joy. " What are you so happy about?" Asked Nicole. "A big time producer wants to record me, he said he saw a video of me singing at the talent show on the internet and I could be a huge hit!!!" yelled Jay in excitement. "That's great!" said Nicole with a little bit of disappointment in her voice, she wanted to tell him but figured it could wait.
Everything changed after that phone call, Jay was in and out of school all the time because he was always recording. Nicole got a little popularity with a few of the girls in the school, but not much since Jay was gone. Jay wasn't the only one that got a phone call, the doctor's called Jay's house looking for Nicole. Jay's mother yelled for Nicole to get the come get the phone, that someone needed to talk to her. When Nicole picked up the phone the doctor's tone wasn't good, he told her that she didn't have much longer to live and needed to come by the hospital soon. "I don't have the money to pay for the bills that come with all the visits" said Nicole with frustration in her voice. "We can help you or you can find someone else to help you with that later, but right now you need to be worried about yourself, Nicole you have a very serious condition and you can't just ignore it, you could die." Nicole could tell that he was very concerned about her health.
