Of course.

Of course I just happened to run into the arms of my guard.

I sat in the back of the limousine sulking. He had dragged me back towards the house and into the vehicle before I could even try to squirm out of his grip.

"This is borderline kidnap you know" I called to the front of the car where my new bodyguard was driving. The divider was all the way down but I couldn't see him from back here, in fact I hadn't gotten a good look at him at all since he snatched me "did you hear me?" I called out again but got no answer. I climbed over the leather seats to the front of the car and lent over the front seats to face him. This was my opportunity to get a good look at the bastard.

He was dressed in the standard black suit and tie that all the guards wore with his hair slicked over. There was nothing special about him, only a few things to differenciate him from the others: his tan skin; his muscular torso the made the suit snug on him and his eyes. Those jet black marbles seemed to stare so intensely at the road.

"Are you mute or something?" I waved my hand but his eyes didn't move from of the road "what the hell?" I thought back to what my dad said this morning about my guard having a 'zipped lip' "I can't believe he paid you extra to not talk to me!"

"How about this," I whispered "I put a grand in your pocket and maybe you don't notice me slip away?" no reaction "you don't even have to stop the car! Ill tuck and roll out this bitch" I thought I saw the corner of his mouth twitch ever so slightly. He thinks I'm joking. I crawled over to the door but was stopped by the sound of the safety lock clicking into place. Dammit.

"I promise I won't do anything to draw attention to myself. No shopping spree or parting, nothing that would land me on the fount of a newspaper. There would be no way for my parents to know. You can even drop me off and pick me up, anywhere but that damn etiquette school mother is forcing me to go to. A library, a park as long as I don't have to be around those trust fund babies. Please!" my heart soared when I heard the safety unlock. Had my begging worked that quickly? I dived for the door flinging myself out of it but came to a halt when I realised where we were.

I turned to my guard who was now out of the car and closing the door I left open "you-" oh. he was much taller than I thought so much so that I had to look up to talk to him "you tricked me" I screamed at him, pointing at the school "you purposely made me think you were taking me somewhere else" then man just stared back at me blankly waiting for to walk into the building "ugh" I turned on my heels and began walking up the stairs that lead to the entrance.

My day was going terribly already. Father wouldn't let me go to the party, he fired the one person that cared about me, mother was picking on me for knowing the names of the staff and my new bodyguard... I suddenly had an idea that had me running back down the stairs and back over to the car "checkmate you dick. You have to give your name when asked. So time to speak up" he narrowed his eyes at me. I've got you now.

"Barbosa"
