Chapter13-visit to the hospital

Mitch's pov

I was downstairs sitting on the sofa when I heard Maria coming down the stairs, I stood up and walked out the lounge and into the hall "hey what did I tell you if you're coming downstairs shout on me so I can help you" I said "I don't want lifted again" she said continuing to hop down the stairs. I was about to say something else when she stumbled "Maria!" I shouted running to the stairs trying to catch her but I was too slow. She landed at the bottom of the stairs I kneeled down and leaned her head on my knees, she looked at me eyes half open and then her eyes closed and she flopped onto my knees. I seen her cell phone in her pocket and took it out.

Jordan's pov

I was eating a cookie when my phone started ringing I lifted it up, it was Maria "hey what's up?" I said "Jordan I need you're help you need to come over right now Maria's fell down the stairs and isn't moving please hurry" it was Mitch "what oh my gosh ummm I'm coming over right now Mitch um just put her on the sofa make sure her head isn't bleeding if it is rap it in a bandage and umm make sure she's got a pulse I'm on my way" I said hanging the phone up and running out my door forgetting to lock it behind me. Once I got there I didn't even bother knocking the door how could I my best friend has blacked out and we don't even know if she's going to be ok so I charged in and ran into the lounge to find Mitch kneeling on the floor beside the sofa Maria was lying on, he looked up at me red eyed and tears streaming down his face.

Mitch's pov

After Jordan hung up I done exactly what she said I lifted Maria up and placed her on the sofa, I checked to see if her head was bleeding, it wasn't I also checked for a pulse like she said there was a pulse I let myself take a breath and was calmer but still really worried. I kneeled down beside her tears running down my face I put my head down on hers. About a minute passed when I heard the door swing open, I looked up to see Jordan standing at the door and panting. "I came as quick as I could" she said "she's got a pulse, her heads not bleeding but I think she hit her head pretty bad" I said "I think I should call an ambulance" she said "yea I think you should just incase" I said, so she called an ambulance once they got here I was able to go with her but Jordan had to go back home remembering she didn't lock her door and promised she'll come visit soon.

Maria's pov

I woke up in a strange white room on a bed I looked out the window to the left of me, it was dark outside 'where am I?' I thought I turned round to see Mitch sleeping on the chair with his head on my lap 'I'm in the hospital!' I thought but how did I get here what happened all I remember is falling down the stairs and everything going black. I leaned down and kissed his forehead he was fidgeting and mumbling something in his sleep 'I think he's having a bad dream' I thought he stirred and woke up "Maria you're awake and you're ok!" he said crying "yes I'm fine what happened why you crying?" I asked "I thought you weren't going to wake up" he said "well I'm awake now biggums" I said smiling he leaned in a kissed me. "next time please let me help you down the stairs" he said "is that what happened?" I asked "yea you wanted to walk downstairs yourself cause' you didn't want me to pick you up and then you fell down the stairs and passed out" he said "oh I'm sorry if I had just let you hell me I wouldn't be in this position and you wouldn't be so upset" I said now crying "hey don't beat yourself up about it you just didn't want to annoy me" he said "I know but I was being selfish and.." once again Mitch being Mitch cut me off and kissed me. "you're ok now just make sure to let me help you next time ok?" he said "ok" I said and we both decided to go to sleep.
