TRYOUTSPAIN.
That's all I've been enduring for the past 7 years. The sounds of my body being slammed against the locker vibrated throughout the halls. My body trembled as it came in contact with the cold metal. My knees failed to do their job as I crashed to the floor. I could make out all the stares, whispers, laughs, and insults I've been hearing all these years. I glance up to the group of bullies I've been gratefully stuck with.
Their little 'squad goals' consists of 3 of the most popular girls in the school. May I add all are on the cheer team. Stacy Bridge, Chelsea Whittemore and last not least the queen of bitches Kayla Lynne. The rest of the group consists of the captain of the soccer team Nick Austin followed by his little buddies.
"Sorry Alex didn't see you there." He said sneeringly.
"Then maybe you should get your eyes checked?" I raised my eyebrows.
His face flushed into a deep shade of red as he lifted me off my butt and slammed me against the lockers once again.
"Listen here McVay, you say one more smartass remark and you'll be begging that you didn't open your mouth. Got it!" He threatened.
I nodded.
He let go of me and I caught myself right before I made contact with the ground. He and his crew waltzed off disappearing into the sea of children with amusing smirks plastered across their face.
I adjusted my ponytail and proceeded to pick up my backpack and walked to History class. Immediately after school, I had soccer tryouts and boy was I nervous because of my decision. This is going to be fun.

After a soul-crushing 4 more hours of school, the final bell echoed through the school. I jumped out of my seat and rushed towards my locker. I frantically dialled the code and replaced my school bag with my soccer bag. I headed towards the locker room whilst shutting my locker in the process.
My pace picked up as I heard heels and yelling approaching me. I sprinted towards the locker room in desperate need of getting away from Nick and his friends. I burst into the locker room out of breath. I managed to sigh in relief that I was out of harms way...for now.
I opened my bag and strapped on my shins pads, pulled over my knee high socks over them and laced my cleats. Afterwards, I pulled my Christiano Ronaldo jersey over my head and put on my Adidas soccer shorts. Yes, I put my shorts after my shoes I don't know I just find normal while others find that I may be crazy. But all the best people are crazy. I took a glance in the mirror to see the image of me with my brown mane slicked back into a ponytail with a Nike headband pulling my bangs out of my face. My green eyes stood out from my thick eyelashes. I was ready to prove everyone wrong.
I inhaled a depth breath as I walked to the field. The moment my shoe sunk into the lush green grass the stares, gasps and whispers erupted from the boys.
They stood aghast to see Alex McVay trying out for the boy's soccer team.
