1st Day Piper's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up sore and barely able to move, sadly, I would have rather not waken up at all. I climbed out of bed with fresh slits in my wrist. I trudged to school as part of my punishment from lying to my mother. Finally I arrived at my locker ready to start the day.. well as ready as I would ever be.
"Hey girlfriend", I turned to find Tyler staring at me. I scanned the rows of lockers to find that everyone was with their pairs really taking it seriously.
"Hey", I said still staring at my locker.
"Hey are you ok", he asked with another worried expression.
"Yes I'm fine", I said a tad too harshly.
"Oh ok", he looked hurt, but I didn't have time for it.
"See you later", I said while walking into the classroom. School was a breeze and I kept my head down low. In certain classes pairs would sit together and talk to get through with their requirements. It was really your choice when to get everything done, but most people perfered to do it as quick as possible. When school finally ended I met up with Tyler by the courtyard.
"Hey", he said
"Hey"
"So my house or yours", he asked interested in my answer. I thought about my mom and the harsh things she would say to me. I knew that the abuse had to be kept a secret or she would find me and make me wish that I had kept it as a secret. I didn't want him to know so I said his house. We drove their in silence and when we finally arrived I was astonished. His house was amazing. At three stories high it looked modern and new. We went inside and I found out that it was actually really cozy which I loved. "Lets just go to my room", he said while climbing the stairs. His room was nice size with a seat window and plasma TV. By the end of the night we were hysterically laughing on his bed and talking about all the people in our grade. The night had consisted of talking about people at our school, laughing about the stupid party, and talking about some things in our family, oh yeah and doing homework.
"And do you remember Diana Gergus", he asked practically laughing.
"How could I not", I said laughing hysterically. We were laughing loudly and I just couldn't stop. I fell off his bed and my coat slinked its way up my arms. Soon he was on the ground too laughing just as loud.
"Whats this", he asked suddenly very serious. I looked down to see him examining the cutting down on my wrist. My face went blank and I jumped up realizing what I was doing.
"Nothing...just a bad cut", I stammered nervously. I grabbed my jacket and pulled it down over my wrist.
"Let me see", he said reaching out to grab my wrist.
"No!", I shouted too loudly. He looked at me worried again.. pity always in his eyes mocking me.
"I have to go its getting late", I said as I grabbed my books and stuffed them into my bag.
"Wait please dont'", he called.
"No i'm taking too much advantage of your hospitality and didn't even notice I'm so sorry", I said running out of his room.
Tyler's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I saw the cuts on her wrist I knew what they were almost immediately. She pushed me away, but I needed to help her. We didn't even need to talk about it... I just needed her to stay. But she got up and ran out of my room. I chased her down the stairs and at least pleaded to let me take her home. She agreed barely and we didn't speak at all on the way home. When we got to her house I walked her up to the door. "Are you sure you don't want to talk about it", I asked her one last time.
"Theres nothing to talk about", she mumbled and opened the door. She shut the door in my face, but I knew I couldn't let her leave. I rang the doorbell.
"What the fuck do you want", Piper's mom asked opening the door. I looked behind her to see Piper pleading with her eyes to leave and say nothing about tonight.
"I need to speak to Piper", I stated confidently.
"And I need a good fucking adoption center to take her away, but we don't always get what we want in life do we", she yelled and then she slammed the door and I was shocked. Never before had I witnessed such cruelty, I felt terrible for her. I wasn't going to push her, but I definitely needed some more information about whats going on by the end of the week and with that I got in my car and drove home.
One of the shorter days, but they will get longer..hoped you liked it
