Piper's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up aching again and depressed. I felt bad about running out on Tyler, but I needed to think. My mind wandered back to last night and the great time we were having, but then I remembered my stupid mistake of falling into the floor. I grimaced watching the sun fall across the floor and seeing tiny specks of dust dance across. I stood up and staggered downstairs hoping that my mom wouldn't be too hard on me for Tyler coming over. But to my surprise my mom had left already and I was all alone. It raced to get dressed and grabbed a piece of toast on my way out. School was long and dragged on forever. All the couples were talking, some already kissing, and others planning their crime for the night. I still hadn't seen Tyler and had no idea where he would be or what we were doing today, but honestly I was fine with nothing.
Tyler's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walked into the cafeteria and saw Piper standing by the back door. I smiled at the thought of her, but then remembered how serious her problem was. She needed help, but I knew she wasn't planning on letting anyone in. I walked out of the cafeteria and found my around to the back door. I was behind her now and she had no idea. I though about confronting her, but I knew she would never come and talk to me in private..so I did what I had to. I wrapped one arm around her waist and the other around her mouth. She screamed, but not before my arm covered her mouth and pulled her backwards into the hallway.
Pipers POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
An arm wrapped around my waist and i screamed, but my scream was muffled by an arm covering my mouth. I shook and squirmed not wanting to die. I couldn't for like this or worse. I was dragged out of the cafeteria and bit the arm holding over my mouth hard.
"Calm down, it's ok, it's just me," a voice whispered into my ear. But who was me? Then I recognized the voice, me was Tyler Simmins. I squirmed more wanting for him to let go of me.
"What are you doing," I shouted still struck from my near death experience.
"It's fine I'm not going I hurt you I just want to talk," he stuttered.
"Maybe I don't feel like talking right now," I spat.
"You have a minimum requirement to talk to me for at least an hour," he reminded me.
"Well, I'm already talking to you aren't i," I said hastily. I turned away, but a hand grabbed my wrist and I cringed at my cuttings being touched. I looked back at him and he stood with jaw open.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you," he stammered. I looked away and turned to leave yet again. But this time he grabbed my arm and spun me around. His face was only centimeters away from mine and my heart raced. I longed to kiss him and dared to stare at his lips for a second before returning my gaze to his eyes. Wait, what am I thinking?! I can't kiss this boy!! "You don't get to walk away this time, we need to talk and get over this," he whispered making my heart skip a beat. I couldn't breathe and he must have felt the tension through my hands. "Don't worry, you're fine, nothings happening," he whispered again. Mrs. Gills walked up from behind us.
"You two are not allowed to be out here, in the cafe now or take a trip to my office," she spat sounding like we had murdered someone. Tyler turned first.
"Of course, sorry Mrs. Gills," he called. He grabbed my hand and we walked into the cafeteria. We sat down at an almost empty table and I blushed just realizing how close we were.
Tyler's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I breathed out a gasp. Never before had I felt something like this. Usually girls were all over me sucking my lips and asking to marry me, but with Piper it was different. She was shy and had never done anything like this before. I don't know why, but I let out another breathe, one I hadn't known I was holding, and realized how nervous she made me. Usually I'm so confident, but it's like she made me close up and shut down. I had been nervous and honestly hadn't known what I was going to do, luckily Mrs.Gills had come in. I sighed and kept Piper close to me. Guys in our school were like hawks and if she wasn't careful someone might just grab her and run. I smiled lucky to have even paired up with her.
