However sometimes, its terrible if you use it. That certain pokemon might happen to know a move that contains recoil. I can't tell you how many times people has made this mistake. Get it down to 1 HP, the pokemon faints itself. It's a hard knock life.
Examples of recoil moves: Take Down/Hi Jump Kick/Double Edge/Volt Tackle/Brave Bird/Head Smash/Wild Charge
Please look up the Pokemon's possible moves before engaging in a hunt. Save yourself the humiliation.
