Hey everybody! Today I wanted to talk about how my SLFL experience was!
Soundcheck:
We arrived at the venue at about 11:30 and there was about 70 people there already and the line was moving really slow. About an hour later we got our tickets and we were taking in the venue by one of the crew members of jiffy lube. She took us to the front gate before you enter the arena and ask if we needed to use the bathroom or get some water. I said no and sat down on the pavement which was extremely hot!
It was about 2 hours later and it started raining. Which ruined my makeup and my poster. Once it stopped raining it got a little cooler outside but it was still very hot!
I was extremely happy when we got in because I was 4 rows from the stage!!! I was freaking out. This guy came out at about 4:00 and told us that we can't take pictures or videos and we had to ask good questions and not stupid ones. He then told us he was going to get the boys. We sat there until about 4:15 before they came out. While we were sitting there out of no where comes JACK FREAKING HEMMINGS! We were all screaming his name and I waved and then a couple other people waved with me AND HE FREAKING WAVED BACK!!!
When I saw the boys walk out I saw how close I was to them I was literally about to cry but knowing the could see my face I held it back as best as I could. They first song they sang was catch fire and omg it was so freaking good live!!! After that we all sat down and they answered some of our questions. I looked at Calum with literally one of the biggest smiles on my face and HE LOOKS AT ME A SMILES BACK AND I WAS DYING AND FREAKING OUT! HE ALSO SAW MY POSTER AND LIKE NODDED AT ME AND HOLY CRAP!!
One of the questions was for Michael and the girl asked do you have names for his guitars. he said all of the guitars names and said he didn't have a name for one and I screamed you can name it after me and HE LAUGHED AND SMILED AND OMG I WAS SO DEAD!!!!!!
A little girl got up to ask a question and Calum saw her braids and he ask her if the were fishtails and she was like NOOO and it was so freaking funny because Calum's face was priceless . Then before she sat down she said she loved Ashton and I was dead because it was so cute! The little girl also asked if they could play don't stop and they were like nooooo We hate that song but they sang it for her.
During don't stop I was screaming lyrics with a really big smile on my face. THEN LUKE FREAKING SMILES ON OF HIS FBOY SMILES AT ME AND MY COUSIN AND I LITERALLY WAS ABOUT TO CRY.
The last song was out of my limit and that was one of my favorites. Ashton was like 'I feel like we haven't sang this song in like 5 years'
I really do suggest going to soundcheck because it is one of the best times!!!
Concert:
Hey Violet were on stage first and omg I was freaking jumping a singing! I loved seeing hey Violet with them last year and this year they were so energetic and I was screaming to the top of my lungs they played this song that's on their new EP called fuqboi and omg IT WAS SO FREAKING AMAZING LIVE AND I WAS LIKE THIS SONG IS RELATABLE IN SO MANY WAYS!
One Ok Rock Were on stage after hey Violet and they were so good! I was looking forward to seeing them just see what they sang! It was amazing there songs are really cool! And they sang this one slow song that was so pretty! they left the stage after about six songs!
we sat there for about 30 more minutes and then all the lights went out! I STARTED FREAKING OUT AND THEN ALL YOU COULD HERE WAS LUKE SINGING CARRY ON AND THEN THE LIGHTS WENT ON THEM AND YOU COULD SEE THEM AND I WAS CRYING SO HARD I COULDN'T BREATHE!! AND MICHAEL TALKED ABOUT POKÉMON GO AND I WAS LIKE LETS BATTLE SOME TIME MIKEY! THEN LUKE WAS LIKE "WERE GOING TO GET SUPER SWEATY AND GROSS BUT THATS OKAY BECAUSE WERE GOING TO GET SUPER SWEATY AND GROSS TOGETHER AND THATS LOVE!! AND THEN THEY TALKED ABOUT MAKING IT THE 5SOS BIRTHDAY SHOW AND I WAS LIKE OMG PLEASE DO AND MICHAEL SAID THAT WE WERE ONE OF HIS FAVORITES AND ALL THAT AND I STARTED CRYING AGAIN! THEN MICHAEL STARED INTO THE CROWD BEFORE JET BLACK HEART FOR LIKE 5 HOURS AND HE WAS SMILING AND I STARTED CRYING EVEN MORE!! AND MIKEY TALKED ABOUT LOVE AND CHICKEN WINGS AND IT WAS SO CUTE!!! AND THE FAN PROJECTS WERE SO SUCCESSFUL!! BEFORE AMNESIA LUKE WAS LIKE GET ALL YOUR FLASHLIGHTS OUT AND INSTEAD WE ALL GOT THESE SIGNS THAT SAID YOU SAFTEY PINNED OUR BROKEN PIECES BACK TOGETHER AND LUKE WAS LIKE THATS A LOT OF SIGNS AND HE BENT DOWN TO READ THEM AND HE SMILED SO BIG AND IT WAS SO AMAZING!!! ON THE ENCORE MICHAEL WAS LIKE WE ONLY HAVE THE ENCORE LEFT AND I WAS LIKE NO BOI YOU BETTER STAY AND THE CROWD WAS ALL BOOING AND HE WAS LIKE "okay fine we are going to walk of stage and if you guys are loud enough we will come back out" SO THEN THEY LEFT AND WE ALL STARTED SCREAMING LIKE EXTREMELY LOUD AND THEN I HEAR A EXTREMELY LOUD NOISE LIKE 20 PLANES ARE FLYING DIRECTLY ABOVE THE ARENA BUT IT WAS THE BACK OF THE ARENA STOMPING THEIR FEET AND HITTING THE CHAIRS SO I DECIDE TO JOIN AND THE WHOLE ARENA STARTED DOING IT TOO! THEN THE CAME BACK OUT AND WAS LIKE OKAY OKAY WE ARE BACK AND THEY SANG THREE MORE SONGS AND THEY DID THE FINAL BOW AND I WAS BAWLING AND THEY WALKED OFF STAGE BUT THEN CAME BACK ON TO MAKE US SCREAM AGAIN AND THEN THE LEFT AND MY PCD HIT ME LIKE A FREAKING BUS!
Over all seeing them in concert is just such an amazing experience and I hope you all get the chance to!
