There I was, walking on the same bridge after every fight I had with my older sister, The Golden Gate Bridge. Sometimes the fight was the smallest one and rarely it was the biggest one. The night  was darker than usual and bit foggy. I stopped and looked at the water beneath the bridge when I saw a guy holding onto the railing. I quickly grabbed him by his arm and helped him climb over the railing. "What were you thinking?" I asked when he got back on his feet.  "Thanks." Was all he said and started walking away from me. He started walking into the same direction I had to go. So I decided to follow him, just to make sure he doesn't do anything that he would regret. I walked quite far away from him but I could still see his figure through the fog. When we arrived to my neighborhood he turned around to me and walked closer to me. "You can stop following me now." He said coldly. "I'm going home." I said pointing to the house not far away from where we were. He looked at my house then back at me and gave me a small nod. "What were you doing at the bridge?" I asked not wanting to hear the words I was expecting. "Why would I tell you?" He asked not showing any emotions. "Because I saved your life." I said it in more of a question way. "I saved myself." He said walking to his house. I watched him as he walked into the house and gave me one last look before he closed the door. I walked over to my house thinking of who he was. I never saw him here before, he must've moved here with his family. I walked into the house to see my sister Veronica waiting for me. "Even if we fight that doesn't mean you can wonder around the town at night." She said. "I'll get in trouble with our parents." She added. I rolled my eyes and walked to my room. It was almost 2am and Monday, so I got dressed into pjs and went to sleep.

I woke up to my alarm clock going off, I turned it off and went to my bathroom to get ready. Then I got dressed in some light blue jeans, black boots and white T-shirts. I grabbed my bag and went to the kitchen. "I'm not giving you a ride today." Veronica said walking out of the house. I got an apple and walked outside too. I started walking and saw the guy from yesterday  walk outside too. So let me introduce myself. I'm Melanie Winchester, I'm 17 years old with brown hair and brown eyes. I live with my sister, because our parents are in Hollywood always working. I always wanted to be a doctor but my mom wanted me to be a lawyer so I'll attend law school. My sister's name is Veronica, she's one year older than me with grey/blue hair and blue eyes. She's the captain of a cheerleader squad, so you can already tell she's the popular girl everyone wants to be friends with. But she's friends with Barbara and Jessie, they're also on the cheerleading squad. I arrived to school and Veronica was already with her friends, one of them was the popular guy and her boyfriend from our school, Ace Fulbright. He's the same age as Veronica. Everyone knows he used to have the best grades, you know the good guy. That was until his parents divorced, his mom left him and his dad alone. Nobody knows what happened to her. I walked inside the school when the guy from yesterday stopped me. "Where's the principles office?" He asked holding onto my hand. "I'll show you." I said and started to walk, while he was still holding my hand. I looked at our hands then at him, that's when he let go of my hand. We walked to the first floor and behind the corner where we stopped. "There you go." I said looking into his blue eyes. "Thanks." He said avoiding my eye contact. I gave him a small nod and walked to my first class. On the way there my best friend Savannah caught up to me. "Who was that hottie you were talking too?" She asked exited. "Hottie? You know I don't really talk to guys?" I said with a chuckle. "Then who's the new guy you walked to the principals office?" She asked. "Ohh I don't know him. Just being nice, you know." I said and we walked into our class. We got our tests back and I got an A. "What'd you get?" Asked Savannah from the seat in front of me. "An A. You?" I asked with a smile. "Ohh lucky. I got a C." She said kinda disappointed. "I'll help you when we'll have another test." I said comforting her. When the lunch time came, me and Savannah walked outside so we could have lunch outside rather than in the cafeteria. I opened the main door fully and hit one of Ace's friends Damon. "Sorry." I said looking at him, then I noticed he was with Ace and the new guy. "Amm.. What's going on here?" I asked Ace, because he was holding the new guys collar. "Nothing for you to know." Andrew said, who's another one of Ace's friends. "Just go." Damon said, begging me not to get involved. Damon wasn't a bully, he was friendly and very helpful. We used to study together until Ace transferred to our school. We turned around and started walking to where we usually have our lunch, but then I heard Ace say "So new kid tried to flirt with my girlfriend?" I turned around and walked to him, trying to pull his hands off of the new guy. "You were the new kid too, who flirted with Andrew's now, ex-girlfriend." I said and he let go of the new guy focusing on me. "What'd you say?" He asked seriously, while Damon tried to hold him back before he does anything stupid. "You heard me." I said. "Let's go Ace." Damon said pulling him inside of the school. "Let's go." I said grabbing both Savannah's and the new guys hands and started walking to a bench that was close. "So new kid, what's your name?" Savannah asked and started to eat her lunch. "Issac." He said looking at his hands. "Well, I'm Savannah and that's Melanie." She said with her cheerful smile. "You shouldn't get involved with my problems." He said and looked at me. "It looked like you were in trouble with Ace, so I just helped you again." I said looking at him. "Wait, again?" Savannah asked confused. "Ohh yeah. Amm... I helped him get to the principal, did you forget?" I said saving his ass, again. "Ohh yeah, totally forgot." She said with a small laugh. "I wasn't in any trouble with Ace." He said defending himself again. "Sure." I said. Everyone gets in trouble with Ace, even me. Well it wasn't really trouble he just wanted me to make everything involving school instead of him, like his homework and projects. I took a bite of my sandwich and looked at Issac who was looking at me with a serious face. "You okay?" I asked confused and he just gave me a nod. "So, Issac tell us about yourself." Savannah said avoiding the silence. "There's nothing interesting to say." He said still looking at me. "I'm sure there is." She pushed further. While I was looking at him I could tell he didn't want to talk about him. "There really isn't" He said and looked at her. We ate our lunch in silence and when Savannah finished she left us alone. After I ate my sandwich I got up and started walking back to school with him following from behind. I was crossing the road, when a car started to drive with full speed towards me. I froze in the middle of the road with the car coming closer. That's when Issac ran towards me pushing both of us on the sidewalk. I slowly raised my head to look at him. "Are you okay?" I asked touching a scar on his cheek. "Totally." He said with a small smile, this was the first time I saw him smile and his smile was beautiful. I got up and helped him get up, when I noticed a bigger scar on his arm. "Are you sure you're okay?" I asked concerned. "Yeah." He said wiping some blood away. "Thanks." I said with a smile and he smiled back. The rest of the day went by normally except Ace giving me looks whenever he saw me. After the school I walked back home, because my sister was staying at Jessie's house, so I had the whole house for myself. I did my homework, read a book and took a shower. It was around 11pm and I was watching TV, when I heard someone whisper my name. I slowly got up and walked to my bedrooms door, opening it. There was no one was there, so I closed the door and walked back to my bed. Before I laid back down I heard something hit my window lightly, and again, and again. I walked to the window slowly. What the hell was that?
