Revealed Truth

"Will I thought you didn't have to work today" I said to him.

"I know, I'm sorry honey" he kissed my forehead "but I have to go to work."

"But your a surgeon, you don't have to work all the time" I told him.

"Well it's a emergency" he said to me.

He was almost out the door, I said, "okay be safe."

With one last look he shut the door, I let out a sigh.

With a ring on the phone, I jumped up and answered the phone.

"Hello?" I said.

"This is Steve" a ruff voice said to me.

"I'm sorry, I don't believe I know you" I said to the man.

"I'm Dan's friend" he said to me.

"Your a doctor?"I asked.

"Actually I'm the director of the hospital" he said to me.

"Oh, well nice to meet you" I said to him.

"So I actually wanted to know if you would mind if I come over" he said to me.

"If your a friend of Dan, then I'm a friend of yours to" I said to him.

"Well I'm only a couple minutes away" he said to me.

"Okay well I'm here right now" I said to him.

"Haha you never answered my question" he laughed.

"You can come over, in fact that would be great, he never introduced me to you, that's weird because he introduced me to everyone except you, must have been a mistake" I told him.

"Well at least you met me know" he said to me "bye the way I'm outside your front door right now."

"Okay I'll open the door, bye" I said to him and hanged up.

I ran to the front door and opened it.

There standing was a man, with black hair and green eyes, he was in a way handsome.

I moved out of the way, so he can come in the house.

When he came into the house he stuck out his hand for me to shake it, "you must be Steve, nice to meet you."

"It's a wonderful thing to meet you" he said it me.

"So, why do you want to meet me?" I asked him.

"I've never met you, in fact you look better in person" he said to me "so I took it upon myself to do the introducing myself, since he really never let me get to know you."

"Oh, I'm apologize for my husband to do that, he usually doesn't act that way" I said to him.

"No, it's okay" he said to me.

He sat down on the couch, I followed his action, "can I tell you something?"

"Yeah, sure Steve" I said to him.

"Do you have any kids?" he asked me.

"No, not really" I said to him "I just really never-"

"Did Dan even want kids?" he interrupted me.

"Well no, not really, well I just..." I trailed off.

"Do you know why he doesn't want kids?" he questioned me.

"Why are you asking these questions? No, I don't know" I said to him.

He took out a photo of him and another lady holding hands, "why are you doing this to me?"

"Because you deserve to know the truth, as a friend, I need to come clean, and if he isn't going to do it, like I said as a friend, I have to do it for him" he said to me.

"Can you just go please" I said to him "I just really need to be by myself right now."

He hugged me and whispered in my ear, "it's part my fault, I told him that he should date that lady, but I never knew he was in relationship."

"It's okay" I said to him.

I started crying softly onto his shoulder, he patted me on the back and told me "everything is going to be alright."

After I stopped crying he got up and said to me, "I'm going to give you time to work it out okay, if you ever need any advice or any help just tell me."

"Okay thank you" I said to him.

He hugged me one more time before walking out and shutting the front door behind him.

"What's wrong beautiful, why are you crying?" Dan asked me.

"You lied to me Dan" I mumbled.

"What do you mean Honey?" he asked me.

"Steve told me, he showed me the pictures" I said to him.

"Who's Steve?" he asked me.

"Don't play dump with me Dan, you know him, black hair, green eyes, and about 5ft 11" I described him.

His eyes widened, "what's wrong?" I asked him.

"I didn't cheat on you" he said to me.

I grabbed the photos off the living room table and shoved it in his face, "don't lie if I have proof."

"You don't understand..." he trailed off.

"I DON'T UNDERSTAND?" I screamed at him "what do I don't understand."

"You just, your not ready for the truth" he said to me.

"Ha, I thought a wife and husband were supposed to know each other's situations, especially what they do behind their back" I said to him "but I guess that's not it."

"Who do you believe more? Steve or me?" he said to me.

"I believe in proof Dan" I said to him.

"But we are supposed to trust each other" he said to me.

"It's hard to trust someone who is holding a girls hand and walking out a restaurant" I bitterly said to him.

"Unbelievable, you don't trust me" he said to me.

"You know what? Don't act like the victim here, I am the victim, I am the one who was cheated on. Can you just confess already" I said to him.

"No, because I didn't do it" he said to me "I expected you to trust me, yet you didn't."

"So you want to end this?" I asked him "if your really going to act like this then, then I'm done."

"I didn't attend for it to be like this" he said to me.

I ran to the bathroom and shut the door loudly, he banged on the door, "please just open the door Kelly."

"No" I yelled at him.

And just like that, the bathroom door came crashing down.
