I walk up to the front desk to be greeted by a woman in her early 30s. She wore baby blue scrubs that had different Disney characters on it, her black hair just below the shoulders, her eyes were a light shade of purple, and freckles that covered her olive colored skin.

"Can I help you miss?" Her soft gentle voice rang through my ears and into my mind.

"Oh... I'm looking for Cassey General. She was rushed here about a week ago." I placed my hands on the counter.

"Oh she is in room 406 on the fourth floor. Do you know her? When she came she didn't have any family members to contact." She looked up at me and saw the emptiness in my eyes. I nodded my head and lifted my hands off the counter as I walked away. I didn't notice I left blood stains on it and the nurse noticed but before she could call out to me I was already gone.

In Cassey's hospital room
I closed the door behind me as I entered the room and made my way towards the bed that held a young girl with dirty blonde hair, her closed eyelids hid her hypnotizing purple eyes, her pale skin had tubes in it and bandages covered her stitched up wounds. I pulled the chair that sat by the window in the sun and sat down next the the bed. I timidly grasped her hand as my head dropped down and a single tear fell onto her hand. The sound of the heart monitor and her steady breathing was all I heard, until I heard her moan in pain as she shifted slightly. Her purple orbs were visible and she looked over at me.

"Demona...." Her raspy voice struggled to speak.

"I'm here.... I'm here Cassey. I promise I'm not leaving you.. I promise." I said as a held her hand tighter. She smiled weakly and released my hand to drag her fingers across my cheek to hold my chin.

"You're face is still familiar to me even though you have the scars. I missed you Demona. So very much." She said as a tear threatened to fall from her eye.

"I missed you too. Now go back to sleep. I'll be right her if you need me." She closed her eyes slowly as she drifted to sleep.

The doctor knocked then opened the door to reveal a very worried Dick Grayson, Bruce and Damian Wayne in the doorway. The doctor nodded and walked away. I stood up from the chair and was quickly taken into a huge embrace from Damian.

"Don't ever do that again. I was so worried." He whispered in my ear sounding as if her was about to let all of his tears out, but didn't.

"I won't do it again I promise." I returned the hug as he sat down in the chair with me in his lap.
