Chapter 17: File 4 [Section A] - Kisame and Itachi

Out of the four groups that went separate ways, Kisame and Itachi seemed to be having the better luck among them. A short while ago, they stumbled upon a man in a rather elegant outfit, one that would make him seem like he was from royalty. But he had no sort of stuck up attitude. In fact, he had even lead them into a separate room and offered to tell them anything and everything they wanted to know.

And here they were, a blue skinned man with gills on his cheek and shark teeth sitting on a bed with a black furred kitten in his lap, staring at the man that called himself Juuzo. With short blonde hair and sparkling green eyes, the man seemed normal enough to them.

"So what's up with this weird mansion in the middle of nowhere? What's its purpose?"

Kisame asked while Itachi was staring at the man. Juuzo gave a soft sigh and tugged off his gloves before tossing them aside.

"This mansion used to be a secret intelligence agency. The ones of us who are still around are the only ones left alive. Everyone else was either killed off by our boss or they were killed in the last mission we had."

Itachi's gaze sharpened as Kisame's beady eyes locked with the man's green ones.

"Intelligence agency?"

"Yes. We were all either spies, assassins, or hackers. It was one or the other. And we were all hand picked."

Itachi looked up at Kisame and meowed, the shark skinned man relaying his question on.

"Why are you after us? To narrow the question down more, where are the two people you kidnapped? Our friends?"

The man gave a small sigh and cleared his throat.

"Do you know of that girl's past history? Any of it?"

They shook their heads no.

"Then let me tell you; Her father was a part of this cult and was assassinated by one of our own because he betrayed us."

Itachi hardened his gaze at the man. Kisame was confused and decided not to interrupt.

"Her father, a well known business man, was once an undercover agent for the government, but after a certain mission that he barely ever mentions, he quit and went into hiding along with his wife. I'd guess that the mission must have been quite shocking to have traumatized him.

"At the time, they had only the girl, Kaito I believe was her name? And to keep her hidden from the government, they went under aliases, changing their names, even their daughters. They even went as far as to change her gender, cutting her hair short and stuff.

"The girl grew up to be around 6 I believe and they had another child. Can't remember the gender since I lost contact with them for a couple of years. They were doing fine, living a normal life and such until the evening of her father's final mission. Our cult leader went to him after we hacked certain government files and saw that he was a great spy. We hired him, see? And he accepted the offer after a couple of days.

"The boss was a fine man, always making sure his members were fully healthy and safe. He even provided housing for them separate from the cult. But he went insane a few years ago, obsessed over a certain myth about a grimoire. Apparently, anyone that possesses it has, well basically, control over the world.

"So he's been sending us out to look for the person described in the myth. It had some weird poem, haiku, I don't know. Something crazy like that. Take a look."

The man dug into his pocket and took out a slip of paper, handing it over to Kisame. The shark man's beady black eyes scanned the paper as Itachi took a look as well.
