Kaito's P.O.V:
All I could see was total darkness. Nothing more, nothing less. No light, no sounds, no nothing. Just emptiness. I suddenly felt a shiver run up my spine, and I felt that I was laying down on something warm and soft. The shiver wasn't out of coldness; it was out of fear. But why? There's nothing here for me to fear. There's nothing to see.
As if reading my thoughts, the darkness suddenly shifted and I found myself opening my eyes to stare into a pair of yellow ones. A small gasp escaped my lips as my eyes widened in fright. Who was this man?
A smirk made its way onto his lips as he licked them almost hungrily as he stared down at me. His eyes held a malicious intent in them as he bent down to whisper into my ear, in a tone that chilled my spine to the core. "We shall meet again, my little flower. You can be sure of that." A dark chuckle resonated from the back of his throat as he pulled back and held his hand up. I willed my body to move, to budge, to do anything to get away from this man. I don't know him, so why am I so terrified of him and desperate to get as far away from him?
My questions were answered when his hand started to glow a faint purple color and with one movement, he struck it through my stomach, reopening the old wound that was there. I couldn't make a sound, couldn't move, couldn't feel the pain. All I could feel was his hand probing the inside of my body and pulling something out with him. But for some reason, he stopped half way. His eyes wandered up to my wide ones, a slightly amused look on his face. "So you've used it, have you?" My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Used it? Used what? What is he going on about?!
His other hand plunged into the middle of my chest as he once again probed my body. A sharp gasp emitted from my lips as his fingers curled around something sharp. At once, he pulled both arms out and held something in his hands, but I couldn't see what. His lips were moving and it seemed that he was laughing after that, but I couldn't tell because by that time... I was already fading away.
I could hear the faint sound of beeping next to me, knowing for sure that I was awake and conscious now. My head, my stomach...my arm, it stings, so much. Why does it hurt so badly? What happened?
I groaned softly and shifted my head to the side, breathing normally now and relieved to know that what had happened before was just a dream. A strange one at that.
Slowly, I opened my eyes and saw nothing but white. White walls, white curtain, white was everywhere. Knowing very well that I was in a hospital now, I let out a sigh of relief from the warmth of the bed I was laying on.
It didn't help that I didn't like hospitals, but I bet my doctor will also be really upset with me. The last time I was in here, I had a bad concussion as well as some internal bleeding from a broken rib poking and scratching at my lung. The result of yet another fight I got in.
My senses started returning to me as my vision was restored along with my hearing. I heard small meows coming from the side and felt my eyes slightly widen before I turned my head, coming face-to-face with Tobi. My eyes softened as he meowed and licked my cheek, obviously worried about me. It made my heart warm up from the feeling. Even if he was a cat, it still showed that he cared.
I couldn't help the dreariness in my body that overcame me, and within moments, I had fallen asleep yet again.
Third Person P.O.V:
Obito felt a bit upset that she had fallen asleep after waking up for a mere five minutes. He was ready to test his skills on Kaito and communicate with her, but alas, she had given in to the dizziness and weariness of her body.
He decided to stay where he was and wait for her patiently...
Just outside the door, Pein and Sasori had waited for Tobi to come out with any news of Kaito's condition, but there was no news of anything yet. Deidara was sound asleep on the chair of the hospital, just as they should be, but they were both much too anxious to get any sleep. Sasori stayed at Deidara's side while Pein hopped up onto the chairs across from them and sat down, waiting for the next few hours to pass by to get news of their caretaker.
