VI ~ A little trust
It has been a month since my injury. Blake followed me everywhere. He stood outside the bathroom for me. I had one crutch that I had to use on the right side even though it was my left foot that was broken. Only because my left shoulder was healed but I was afraid of straining it. I could move both arms just fine. But that ugly "NIG" was imprinted. Blake carried my books to every class. Manderine drove me to my daily physical therapist. Sky and Big boot had been reported missing. More like run aways. I still hadn't gotten the chance to visit O'Connor because Blake saw him as a threat to our relationship. Blake has gotten better, he's almost back to normal. Everything's the same but he still doesn't sleep much. After practice Blake drove me home. Of course I didn't practice but I stood there and watched like the first day. Winter track had already started. Manderine had ballet lessons so she had to go. He helped me out the car and carried me to my room. "ugh this clothes eck" I said taking off my sweat pants. I took my shoe off. Blake put his hands on my waste and kissed me passionately. I laid down on the bed and he kissed my stomach removing my shirt together with my bra. He kissed my chest up to my neck. I pulled his shirt off. His back was so strong and muscular. He smelled hot and musty. "You need a shower" I said. He stopped and looked at me "ugh, you're right babe, I'm sorry" he got off. He took off the rest of his clothes. and went into the bathroom.
My phone buzzed, I looked expecting it to be Manderine but it wasn't. It was O'Connor. The message read "I'm at the door" I replied "I'm in my room, quick Blake's in the shower." I put on one of Blake's baseball Jerseys that where huge on me. O'Connor came in with an envelop. he placed it under my mattress. "How are you feeling? " he whispered sitting on the bed and brushing his hand through my hair. "so much better " I inched a little closer to him. he wrapped his arms around me, kissing my neck. I giggled "stop that" I whispered. He stood up, "I have something for you back at the house " "really?" I said "maybe when you can walk better you could come see it, text me okay?" he said giving me a kiss on the cheek. "okay " I said as he snuck out the door.
A few minutes passed before Blake came out The bathroom with my Lilly covered towel around his waist." where you talking to yourself?" he asked picking up his duffle bag and applying deodorant. "um, yea I was " I said laying down. "what? babe what where you saying? " he said with a smile. I sat up straight again. "Nothing, just sorting stuff out" I shrugged. He put on his pajamas and sat beside me. "well I'm here now, so you don't have to talk to yourself " he said taking my hand in his. I laid my head on his shoulder. He kissed the top of my head lingering there for a while. "Don't you think you're being a little... " I said. Blake pulled away still holding my hand. "irrational about O'Connor? " I said shrugging. "katarah, you don't know O'Connor as much as I do. He's known for being extremely violent, ask anyone in town " I let go of his hand. "you said it was because he'd interfere with our relationship " "no, babe-" I cut him off "yes, you did" I said standing up. "you lied to me?" it was silent for a second. "really Blake? what? you thought I wouldn't believe you?" "no that's not-" I cut him off again "you thought I'd go on his side?" He raised his voice "I WAS PROTECTING YOU" I raised mine too "FROM WHAT BLAKE ?" he stood up and took a deep breath. It was silent.
"when O'connor likes a girl, he'll do anything and everything he believes will satisfy her." Blake looked at me. "so what's wrong with that?" i asked sitting back down because i was losing balance. "You don't understand Katarah, just trust me." Blake sat beside me. I took his hand in mine.
