I pull into my driveway, and exit my car. Once I unlocked the door to my house, I trudged up to my room. I needed to get ready for my job, at a local café, Bevs café. I threw on the black dress pants, a random T-shirt, and my apron with the café's logo on it. I have a about 10 more minutes until I need to leave, so a hastily put my hair up in a ponytail. I jog down the stairs and into the kitchen. I grab a granola bar and lean against the counter while eating it. I hear the front door open, it's either my mom or my sister.
"YELLOW DOG?!?" Ok that's definitely my sister, she also greets my dog first. My dogs name isn't actually yellow dog, it's Duke. She just calls him that since he's a yellow lab.
"He's not here, he's at the groomers." I shout at her, from the kitchen. She walks into the kitchen. My sister is absolutely beautiful, she's 21, has all the right curves in all the right places, she's short, 5'2 I think, skinny, blonde hair, blue eyes, her eyebrows arch perfectly, she has white and straight teeth. I'm so jealous of her looks.
"You're still here?" She questions me
"Yeah, I should get going though" I respond
"Ok, have fun."
"Are you still going to be here when I get off work?" I inquiere, as I gab my keys off the counter.
"Yeah, Mom wants Jackson and I too have dinner here tonight. I'm here this early since I figured I'd help mom with cooking." Well Mom didn't tell me this, oh whale I love when Breck and Jackson, her fiancé come over.
"Oh, cool! See you then! I gotta go, bye Breck love you" I shout as I'm putting my shoes on, about to leave.
"Bye lizard!" She yells as I'm leaving the house. I laugh at her nickname for me. I jog to my car, start it, and drive off to Bevs café. It has yellow floor tiles, booths line the walls with some tables in the center. As soon as I enter the small café, I'm instantly greeted by my boss, Maggie.
"Lizzie! Just in time, it's starting to get busy." Maggie greets me with a huge smile.
"Yeah it is, well I better start waiting tables. See you around Maggie." I respond with a smile of my own. Maggie just nods, I walk into the back to grab my notepad I that I use to write down orders.
"Yo Liz!" I heard someone shout. I turned around quickly to face whoever called my name. It was Joey, he's my favorite co-worker. He's just a big oaf, he's over six feet tall, has short, brown hair, soft brown eyes, and he's just a big child.
"Hey Jo, what's up?" I questioned him.
"Do you think you could work my shift tomorrow?" He asked me with a hopeful look.
"I don't know Jo, what's your shift?"
"It's from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm."
"I guess I can. Why do you need me to?"
"It's my girlfriends and I's anniversary, I forgot when I picked up the shift."
"Well, you better do something extra special for her."
"Oh, I will." He said with a smirk and a wink as he walked off.
"Gross! TMI!" I exclaimed. I heard his laugh coming from the kitchen. I went back to the front and started taking orders. I was the only waitress on duty today, which was good. Bevs is really small and when two or more people waitressed it got kind of cramped. It was near the end of my shift, there was only a couple of people left in the café. Maggie walks up to me
"Lizzie of you want you can head home, it's pretty dead here and you look kind of bored." She stated with a laugh. I love Maggie, she's a very cheerful woman. She's in her late forties, she has auburn hair with it starting to grey at the temples, she has cheerful and kind blue eyes, she's kind of talk around 5'8 I think.
"Are you sure Maggie? I can stay until this couple leaves."
"Oh nonsense! You've already cleaned all the empty tables, and you probably have homework. Just go home I can close up." She replied in a motherly-stern tone
"Ok! Ok! I'm going, bye Maggie. Thanks for letting me leave early." I laughed as a relied.
"Bye Lizzie, see you tomorrow. You did take over Jo's shift right?"
"Yeah I did, see you tomorrow." I Calle to her as I left the café. I hopped into my car and drove off towards home.Sorry if that chapter was kind of boring, the next one will be the dinner with her sister and she'll show you how she's not a "good girl".
