I had decided to stay at the inn for a few more days, as I needed rest and I could be myself here, I didn't have to worry what others thought of me. Also, I may have gotten a bit...attached you could say, to Josh recently. I mean, seriously! He's the cutest thing ever.
We eat breakfast together every morning, and hang out until about lunchtime, when he would leave for work until about 10 that night. I enjoyed the time we spent together, and i enjoyed running around the inn as a cat, trying to outrun his wolf, who he told me was named Nathan.
This was one of those times, and I felt exited as I jumped onto the rails of the stairs and ran down them, onto the 1st floor. I laughed a bit to myself as his bulky form tried beating me down the stairs. He won in the end, of course. But I was definently close.
As we shifted back he laughed. "Ha! Beat you again, it seems." Victory plastered on his face. "Come on, you're way faster by nature so it's not fair." I whined. Ivy, my cat spirit pranced around gracefully in the back of my mind. 'You could beat them in the race if you wanted, girl, you just need practice.' I glowered slightly at her. 'We both know you aren't the queen of the world, you know my name so I expect you to call me by it, please. And you're right, Ivy. I just need a bit more practice.' She grinned a know-it-all grin. 'That's my girl, Ayala.'
I smiled and cut off the link for the moment. I turned back to Josh, who seemed to understand, as he often shared conversations with his wolf as well.
"What was that about?" He questioned. "The race." I simply said back. He didn't question any farther than that. "Do you want to go into town with me today?" He asked, smiling softly. "T-town?" I said, stammering a bit, unsure. "It's okay, you can wear a beanie and no one will suspect anything." I thought about it for a minute. Then I smiled, "Sure."
As we got into town we found ourselves at a small coffee shop at the edge of town. He got a black coffee, as I figured he would, and I got a coffee with a butt load of sugar in it and a bit of creamer. He smiled as we sipped our drinks, and i smiled back. Eventually we carried on a full on conversation, leading to us both saying we were single. His smile seemed to grow at that, just as my blush did.
"I have to go to work soon." He said, looking down. "I'll see you later then?" I asked, my cheeks still covered in a thin layer of red. "Of course-oh, one more thing." He grinned, walking over to me and pecking my cheek. I started wide eyed as he walked away, my hand on my cheek where I still felt tiny sparks flutter around.

I didn't promise another chapter, but I did say I would try to get one up soon, so I did. Yay! I hope you have a wonderful day/night/evening. Thank you so much for being patient with me, I'm so glad to get this book started again. Hopefully I'll be uploading once or twice a week from now on. Yeah I definitely lied
