-Haley's POV-
All of a sudden, I'm put in the back of a long black almost limo looking car. No handcuffs, but I still feel like I'm being held captive.
The car ride to the police station is long, and silent. Once we get there, I'm relived to get out of the car but not relived to have the guys hands linked on both of my forearms. I sigh as we walk in. My heart drops when I look up to see my Mom, Dad, and little sister in the waiting chairs. My face gets red and I start getting shakey. I instantly look down in shame as my mom starts to burst out in whaling and tears.
"THATS MY BABY! HALEY! HALEY HONEY COME HERE!"
"Sis!"
My dads just sitting here his head in his hands peeking up at me from his hands.
I just bite my lip as a tear leaks from my eye.
They free me and I go to my mom hugging her tight.
I cry hard into her shoulder and sniff.
"I'm so sorry.. I'm so.. Sorry."
"Baby it's not your fault.." She keeps saying that.. And I know it's true, I just can't keep this grudge on her. It's too painful..-Conrads POV-
In just a moment, I'm taken out of the concert hall and into a cop car.
"It's my right to know what the hell is going on!" I say at him a little aggressively.
"And it's also your right to remain silent. I suggest you acknowledge that right.." The cop snaps back.We get to the station, where we all get out of the car. The grab my arm as they guide me inside the building. I look to my left where I see Haley hugging a woman crying and a little girl around 10 sitting and crying, and a guy around 45 in a seat with his head in his hands. I frown confused and look around.
"H-Haley..?"
She looks up and so does her family.
"Is that the guy who kidnapped you, honey?" The woman, I'm assuming is her mother, says frowning at me.
"What!? No! Mom, he's just a friend." Haley says as I just stand there stunned.
"I'm confused as to what's going on.." I mumble and look down.
"Just come with us, young man.." The police man starts leading me to a conference room and sits me down.
"Wait here for a minute. We'll be with you in a bit."I wait in the cold room bouncing my leg up and down against the chair. I breath heavy as my heart picks up speed..
2 buff guys in black suit walks in and shakes my hand.
"I'm Detective Riley Jones and this is my partner John Powell." He smiles as I smile back.
"Conrad." I reply shakily. They sit down and set up a cheap box recorder.
"So, Conrad. Are you aware of the whole situation that's going on?" The detective asks me.
I shake my head.
"No! Absolutely not! No one will tell me.." I sigh.
He nods.
"I'm assuming you know Haley?" The other one asks.
I nod.
"Yeah. I do." I smile a little.
"What's your relationship with Ms.Montgomery? How did you meet her?" The first guy asks me.
I think for a moment and sigh.
"Well,I'm in a band and We're on tour. We were on our way to L.A and I saw her laying on the side of the road with a backpack. We picked her up because well.. We could've just left her there. We gave her water and splashed her a little. She finally woke up and told us she was going to a friends house for the weekend in L.A so we just told her we'd take her.
Once we got there, she said she'd rather just stick around with us while we were on tour, then we'd drop her off on our way back from our last stop.." I finish my long explanation and sigh.
They nod.
"Well I'm pretty convinced you're telling the truth." Mr.Powell chuckles. "Are you aware she was actually running away?" The detective asks.
When he asks, my heart drops. I bite my lip and look down. A few moments later, I speak up.
"No.." I shake my head.
"I had no idea.."
They nod an stop the recorder.
"Thank you for your time, Kid. You're free to go."I walk out of the room and into the waiting room. Haley looks at me and bites her lip worriedly. I squint a little and sigh. I nod for her to follow me outside to talk.
A few moments later, Haley joins me outside.
"H-hey.." She says and looks at me.
"Why didn't you tell me.." I say lowly.
She sighs and looks down ashamed.
"Because.. I didn't want you to turn me in. I didn't wanna go back home. It's a mad house.. At my house.. I didn't have the strength and.. You guys gave me my strength back.. You showed me love.. I needed that.. I'm sorry I didn't tell you, Rad, but I just couldn't-"
I put my hand on her cheek and kiss her a little longer than the last time, and close my eyes enjoying the moment. I kiss her deeper, knowing this might be the last time I see her for awhile.. I kiss her lovingly, because she needs to know how love feels.. I kiss her passionately, to show her how passion feels.. I love her with a passion I've never been able to express except through music. I pull away and smile looking into her eyes.
"I love you.."
