Lydia left without saying a word. she placed a small kiss on Jacksons cheek making an excuse about being late and ran out the door. when she got home she flopped down onto her bed with her head muffled into the pillow. why did Jackson lie all this time? did he not trust her? and if he didn't tell her this, what else isn't he telling her?

by the time she realised, it was morning. a Monday morning. a school Monday morning. and not just any school Monday morning. the first day back of school. through all her thoughts, she had fell asleep, with makeup rubbing on her pillow and her hair surrounding her in a tangled mess. and that morning as she looked in he mirror, she knew she had a lot of work to be done.

one hour and a half later she was ready. her shiny locks pulled back into a tight ponytail with a red ribbon wrapped around the hair tie. her body was covered with a beige shirt tucked into a brown body hugger skirt and on her feet she wore her usual black shoes. she grabbed her phone scrolling through the dozens of messages from Jackson asking where she is, what happened, why she's ignoring him. she decided to delete them all, to face him at school if she must and just get straight to hell.

as she pulled up into the school parking lot, she saw a familiar car pull up beside her. hopped out a tall slim girl with dark wavy hair hanging down her shoulders. she bobbed as she walked and a permanent white smile was plastered across her face. "LYDIA!"

"ALLISON!" Lydia shouted back embracing the girl. it had been ages since Lydia and Allison had seen each other since alli had been on a training course all summer.

"how was your romantic summer?" Allison winked at Lydia hooking arms with each other as they walked into school.

"summer was great...but there's complications. lots of them" Lydia said with a laugh. "how was your...training summer"

"oh it was...well it was torture" Allison breathed out like she had been exhausted "six weeks with my dad and mum constantly telling me all the reasons to hate beacon hills and the supernatural" she giggled and Lydia couldn't help but smile. her best friend was the definition of happiness. everything she done just made light. her laugh which sounded like a child. her smile which never disappeared. everything she done was adorable.

the thing about Allison was, she was the complete opposite of Lydia yet, she was the perfect friend for her. she wasn't over confident or loud or popular. she was quiet but not timid, she was known but not envied. when she walked in a room, people did look, but not because they wished to be her, just because she was Allison Argent, everyone's friend.

"well now we are back in our own personal torture" Lydia laughed and Allison did too. the bell rang and they ran off to class, the same class.

Lydia walked over to her usual seat, between a small dark haired girl called Malia and Allison. she looked around the room, Jacksons seat was empty. she shook her head, not focusing on him but deciding to focus on the new teacher and the new year. just as Mr Hale started scribbling his name down on the board, the door swung open and in walked a boy. the boy.

"sorry I'm late sir" he gave a dazzling smile as he stood at the front looking round the room. he was just as Lydia remembered, tall, dark and very handsome. "I'm stiles stilinski, the new boy"

"ah, mr..." Mr Hale swung round and caught the boys gaze, he looked him dead in the eye and Lydia was sure he saw him shift where he was standing. "mr stilinski, take a..seat"

Lydia laughed, her so obviously gay teacher was so obviously attracted to the new boy. and what made her laugh even more was the awkward walk away stiles gave, tripping over into tables and people as he did.

"woah, new boy is hot" Malia said watching him walk in and giving him a smile. to her surprise he flashed her a smile back.

"omg mal" Allison laughed seeing the two smiling at each other.

"it's Jacksons adoptive brother" Lydia said staring at her book like she had just said the most obvious thing in the world.

"Jackson has a brother?"

"yeah his names stiles, he moved into town recently before he lived with his aunt and uncle in Virgina" Lydia said looking between Allison and Malia. they looked at her with confusion covering their faces. "what? I listen"

the lesson seemed to dragged on, but Lydia found her amusement watching the very hot very gay teacher stare at stiles from the front of the room. and as the bell rang, she found herself Spring out of her seat as soon as possible. she grabbed her bags and ran out the door before being called back "LYDIA!"

she swung round and smiled her hair flicking round. "stiles, hey!" she casually said trying to act like she hadn't just been thinking about him the whole lesson.

"you ran off yesterday...I'm sorry if I said too much maybe I should of left it to Jackson to tell you" stiles apologised looking up at the girl. Lydia studied his face. he could see he was genuinely worried and sorry, and she couldn't help but look down at his lips, whenever he was sad his top teeth bit down on his bottom lip. she hated how she loved seeing him do that.

"it's fine" she breathed out smiling again "I'm glad you told me, but I better be off, I've got history"

she ran, well she staggered, her 4 inch high heels didn't let her run very fast. and as she got to history she realised she was beaten to it. and obviously, with her luck, sitting in the empty seat beside her was stiles waving tauntingly like he knew she was sitting there. she stumbled over throwing her books down.

"nice to see you again miss Martin" he laughed as she smiles back.

"oh it's like you're stalking me mr Stilinski" they both laughed in collision.

"right settle down I ain't keeping you long. for this semester yore gonna be learning about World War One. so for an assignment you're going to write a 150 word essay about why World War One started...oh and it's due tomorrow" the class groaned "hey don't groan, I'm not that mean to let you do it alone. the person next to you will be your assignment buddy for the rest of the year, so start socialising"

Lydia felt her stomach sink. the last thing she wanted was to be partnered up with Jacksons incredibly hot brother for the rest of the year.

"so..." stiles started with a slight smile on his face. one side of his mouth raised further when he smiled making it look like an almost smirk,

"my place or yours?"
