Natsu's Pov

It had been a year since Luce left us. It all started the next morning after the guild party for her, we found a letter on the master desk addressed to Fairy Tail. It how thankful she was to met us all and that she hoped to see us again someday. I was crushed, immediately ran out of the guild and search for her scent but it was long gone. I sulked all the way home. Happy decided to stay at the guild a little longer. Once I reached my little house I saw a letter addressed to me in Lucy's perfect handwriting. It said that she was sorry, that she wish she could stay longer but she had to fulfill her dream of finding her parents and set them free. Lucy thanked me for helping her and being her first and best friend. That night I cried for hours on end cause she was gone and I might never see her again and never got to tell her how I felt. I never got to tell her how much I loved her.

Present day, I still love Lucy. I could never forget her, I could never move on. I just hope that she is safe and fulfilled her dream. Cause I know what it's like to lose a parent, because I did when Igneel disappeared.

Lucy's Pov

I was finally here. I had arrived in Magnolia late last night and was itching to see Fairy Tail again. I smiled as I walked through the guild doors. Everyone froze as they saw me enter the guild and just stared that next thing I know I was tackled to the ground. I looked up and saw the one person I missed the most. I hugged him back.

"I missed you Luce"

"I missed you too ... Natsu" He snuggled his face into my neck before helping me up.

"I'm so glad you're back!" He exclaimed jumping up and down like a kid.

"I am too" Next thing I know I'm surrounded by all the Fairy Tail members. They gave me hugs and said welcome backed and said how much they missed me. I smiled I missed them too, they were like a family too me.

General Pov

Lucy smiled widely and went up to Mirajane. "Hey Mira"

"Yes Lucy?"

"I was wondering, is that offer to join Fairy Tail still available?"

"Of course, where would you like your guild mark and in what color?"

"Pink and on my right hand please" She said remembering that was the hand Natsu held when he said he was never letting my go. She smiled as Mira pressed the stamp down on the back of my hand. She went over to him. "Natsu look Mirajane just put the official guild mark on my hand"

"Uh-huh, that's cool welcome to the guild" he said lamely not paying attention.

"You could at least act excited!" Lucy yelled. Natsu laughed and turned around to face her.

"I'm just kidding Luce, I'm glad you're finally a part of Fairy Tail" He said put an arm around her shoulder. "Hey can we talk alone?"

"Yeah sure" they went outside of the guild and went to the nearby park. "What's up?"

"Um first I wanted to know how did it go with your parent's"

"I found my dad but ... my mom's gone, she was killed by one of her owners" Natsu's face softened as he gave her a hug.

"I'm so sorry Luce, I lost my dad so I know how you feel"

"What about your mom?"

"Never knew her, well I never know my real dad either. I was raised by Igneel, but he disappeared"

"Natsu I'm so sorry"

"It's ok, Luce you didn't do anything wrong" She leaned back into his chest and his arms remained tightly around her small frame. "Lucy?"

"Hm?"

"Um, the real reason I brought you out here was to tell you something important"

"Oh, what is it then?" She asked sitting up again.

"Um, I-um, Lucy I know we haven't know each other very long but I feel something that I have never felt before when I'm with you and I'm not really good with words so um what I'm trying to say is that, Lucy I love you"

Lucy stared at him shocked. She didn't know what to say and if she did, the words wouldn't come out anyway. But she knows what she feels, so instead of speaking, she kissed him. Lucy kissed Natsu. It was short and pleasant to the both of them.

They both were grinning like idiots after the kiss, "I love you too, Natsu" He smiled and kissed her once again. Realizing that love for a genie wasn't so bad after all.
