Everything in his life had to be perfect. Planned out accordingly, follow a specific order, be normal. Boring and normal. That's the way he wanted- No, it's the way he needed it to be. Ludwig wanted nothing more than his life to be the exact opposite of his brother, was that too much to ask?
Apparently so.
Or, this just wasn't his day.
The night before he ended up staying up way past midnight, for two reasons. One, his girlfriend Sophia, she wouldn't stop yelling at him over the phone. When ever he made the attempt to hang up she would yell louder. Needless to say, the two had a bit of a toxic relationship. If she wasn't yelling at him for one thing it was another. Two, for what ever reason, his dad let Gilbert's friends stay at the house very late. More likely than not the few drinks he had with his best friend may have had to do something with his decision.
His brothers two friends were making so much noise, most of the time it was from their endless fighting about God knows what. The three of them at one point ended up going into his room at one point. To which Ludwig literally had to carry all three of them out and lock his door. When he crawled back into bed his brother started knocking on the door like a clingy dog trying to join its owner in the bathroom. He spent the night laying in bed wide awake hearing everything his brother was doing.
Needless to say after how long they kept him up he ended up sleeping through his alarm clock. It didn't help that neither his brother or dad actually bothered to wake him up for school either.
By the time he managed to make it out of the house, it was already 10. He was way more than late at this point. In a frantic hurry, Ludwig ended up speeding to school. Almost getting himself a ticket in the process.
Hastily parked his car, his usual perfect parking was now borderline asshole-ish. He looked in his rear view mirror letting out a groan, his hair was a mess. Golden blond fringe now touching the top of his eyes.
He should probably keep hair gel in his car.
In a almost sad attempt to fix his hair, the teen ran his fingers through his hair slicking it back. Only to have to his stubborn fringe fall back into place. Quickly fixing his tie, he took one more look in the mirror before leaving his car.
Ludwig could almost die of embarrassment. Entering through the front of the school he heard mild teasing coming from both students and staff working in the office.
"Hey! What happened Ludwig? Thought you were suppose to be setting an example to the other students!" One of the older ladies called out, playful smirk on her face, pen poking at her pudgy cheek.
Ludwig only looked in the other direction, not having any comments to add on to that. Before he managed to leave the main building, one of the kids spoke up.
"Hey, Ludwig! Warning, there doing a tardy sweep. Unless you want it on your permanent record I suggest hiding in the garden 'til 3rd period bell!"
He furrowed his eyebrows for a moment. Did she really just tell him to hide in the garden in front of the staff? He looked over at the woman for a moment, she only held her hands up defensively.
"I didn't hear anything!"
Ludwig shook that off, making it through the hall. He quickly ended up taking cover behind a trash can when a school security guard came into his line of sight. Honestly, the last thing he needed was for the school to find out the student council president got a citation for being two hours late for school. Hiding out in the garden wouldn't be so bad- 3rd period bell was scheduled to ring in the next 15 minutes.
