You woke up in a bed and after 6 months you still were not used to waking up in a bed with pillows and blankets . After being on the run and alone for so long it was weird to be living in a house again that was filled with people.
You laid in bed staring up at the celling thinking .. 6 months ago you were just trying to survive when you ran into a group who was out scooting the area for supplies You were trying to fight off two or three walkers when they found you . They saved you and after talking with you for a bit they brought you back to their community. It was place that reminded you of the world before it went crazy .
The huge steel walls surrounding the community was the only reminder of the reality of the outside world. The people were super nice to.. but you knew if they had to they could be deadly.. you had to be in this new world. There was Maggie and Glenn that who you were staying with right now they were a young couple and really nice .
Then there Daryl he didn't say much and he was a little rough around the edges but you got the sense he was a really good guy . Then there Carol who is real protective of the group then there Michonne who you had found you were able to talk to the most . She was real talented with her sword . Then there was Rick the leader.. you don't know why but your heart flutter every time you though about him or he even look at you .
He was a really good leader strong and fearless.. very attractive.. well at least you thought so . He had two kids a teenage son carl who looked just like his daddy and a little girl who about 2 . Apparently his wife died giving birth to Judith . You felt bad for them you knew what it was like to lose a parent so young. But as a single parent he was doing a good job raising his kids and that was another thing that was so attractive about him Sad really considering he never see you as anything as just another person part of his group he was quite a bit older than you . he was like 39 and you were 25 so the 14 year age difference but a huge no go sign in any direction you could see where he was concern. You sigh. But you figure that maybe after time the feeing would just go away ..
There was a knock on the bedroom door you sat up in bed "come in " you replied Maggie stuck her inside . " hey got a favor to ask well Rick got one to ask him and Daryl going to be going outside the gates today to check the walls and he needs someone to watch Judith .
Michonne has watch duty and Carol is helping over in the food bank " Maggie said. "Sure I love to when dose he want me over ?" you asked " anytime they are going to go as soon as you get there " alright " you climbed out of bed " let me get dressed " you said Maggie smiled
"Thanks " and she shut the door. You went over to your closet to get some clothes . .this wasn't the first time he asked you to watch Judith and you love to she was such a sweet little girl. it didn't take you long to decided what to wear because you didn't have much to choose from but you slip on a pair of jeans with a white tank top and put on a red plaid short sleeves button over it leaving it open. you pulled you hair into a pony tail and brush your teeth and headed out the door.
On the way over to Rick's house you gave yourself a pep talk . Telling yourself to act normal around him . You were only going over there just to watch his little girl that is all. "Hey y/n " you stop and waited for Peter to jog up to you He was another resident who had arrived around the same time you did . he was a sweet guy about the same age as you and always stop and chatted with you when he saw you out and about . "hey Peter " you said "Where you headed to ?" he asked as you started walking again he fell into step beside you . he stuff his hands in the pockets of his jeans " I am heading over to Rick's to watch Judith " you said . "your very good with kids " he comment " do you want any of you own one day " he asked you glanced at him " I don't know ..I haven't really put much thought to it " you replied " has to do a lot with the fact that I don't have someone special in my life " you said. You guys reached Rick's house and came to a stop you turn to Peter " Well I am sure one day " he said with a smile.. you tried to return it ..The front door open and Rick and Daryl walked out Rick was holding Judith in his arms " I will see you later " You told Peter he nodded and turn and walked off in the other direction .You walked up the stair onto the porch "morning " you said . Rick met your gaze with a smile " morning" he said you wanted to curse at the way your heart sped up he was just saying good morning for god sakes you told yourself . you turn your attention to Judith instead "Hey pretty girl we going to have today? you asked she leaned forward towards you and Rick laughed as he gave you her to you .. " well I guess that says it all " he said you grin "she just ready for a girl day isn't that right ?" you said bouncing her on you hip "Well we wont be gone long only a couple hour " Rick said you nodded " I am good do whatever you need " you replied. he nodded and once again he made eye contact with you and once again your heart sped up and you literally had to force yourself to look away .." Well lets go 'Daryl said .. Rick nodded and you watched them go
