Tears of heaven

Chapter 2

"Mom?!" He cried out as he dashed down the stairs.

She turned around as he came crashing through the door to the kitchen, her hand bloodied and tears threatened to spill down her face.

"Honey....." She looked down at her hand in shock, as if only now realizing that there was a deep gash from her hand to her elbow, and was bleeding heavily.

"Mamma? What happened? Are you alright?" He asked as he moved to get a towel to wrap her arm in.

I was sitting in the drivers seat, racing my mamma to the ER, when I barely heard her whisper.

"I broke the bowl, I broke his bowl. How could I?" Her favorite bowl that papa had given to her the Christmas that he had passed, was broken?

'Is this what it's all about?'

"Mamma, it's okay." He tried to soothe her.

She ended up staying the night at the hospital. She kept mumbling 

"The angles we're going take Johnny away from me."

He gave her a puzzled expression every time that phrase escaped her lips.

Mamas always been obsessed with angels, thinks she can communicate with them. Though He don't believe her, He don't think she's a nut case either.

When he got home, he cleaned up the mess, then went to his room. He needed to cool down, left off some steam by relaxing. He needed a distraction so he wouldn't rethink the events of what happened today.

He was looking through his telescope, his last gift from his papa. He found the North Star, orion's belt, and many other consolations. He glanced back right in time. A shooting star had just passed in front of him!

"Wait, I-it's coming right at me!" He jumped and ran to to the other side of his room, staring in shock as the blaze kept coming closer and closer. He squeezed his eyes shut in anticipation.

He stood there, dazed. Thinking he imagined it all when the sound of ripping earth brought his attention back to the reality.

He tripped and tumbled down the stairs in his new found excitement.

He rushed into the backyard... Expecting a meteorite or something super scientific. But as he came closer to inspect, he was shocked to find a girl....In the trench the presumed meteorite had caused. It was like looking upon the face of an angel.

And with that information, he fainted.
