Nicole's POV

One by one, students started to file into the gym. Though it's still basically morning, everyone is crazy about sports. All are wearing the school colors, with their face painted red and white. Girls are bringing in pom-poms. The marching band takes their places in the bleachers. The gym is filled with students shouting and screaming.

I am sitting in the very back corner of the gym. I feel like I stand out the most just because I'm the only one not coordinating with everyone else. I just quietly sit there in my black hoodie observing everyone else. The loud buzzer echoed through the gymnasium, signaling the start to the game. The students screamed even louder than before, which I thought was impossible.

The rattling of pom-poms redirected the student's attention towards the entrance of the gymnasium. In came the cheerleaders, bouncing and flipping into the gym. My eyes narrowed at one particular cheerleader. She was standing tall and proud. Her bright smile was contagious and made me wanted to smile along with her. The girl was none other than my girlfriend Stella.

"Let's go warriors!" she shouted with her hands up, waving at the crowd.

The music started playing and the basketball team ran in. Everyone cheered and the stomping of feets created a thunderous sound. At the sound of the whistle, all eyes were directed to the game.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I love basketball. However, I just find my girlfriend a lot more interesting. I feel like a creep. My focus was on her, and only her. This was the first time I really took the time to take in every detail. As I continued to look at her divine being, she turned around and her eyes wandered the crowd. When she came across me, he face brightened. She brought her hand to her lips and blew a kiss in my direction. The people around me went wild. Throwing hearts at her and saying 'I love you too!' Though I really wanted to kick them, I knew it was for me.

It was now half-time and both teams gathered in a huddle. Music started playing and the cheerleaders took the court. The girls began their routine, doing flips and tricks and all that good stuff. There was a dance break at the end that was a little bit over PG-13. The guys in the gym was all hollering and whistle at the performance. I don't know why, but I had this uncomfortable feeling in my stomach that made me want to turn off the music and stop the dance all together. I mean, yeah they're just dancing but the fact that my girlfriend was dancing for other people didn't sit well with me.

When the half-time show ended, I was annoyed. I know it was childish but still. Call me a kid, I don't care. I don't like sharing. The struggles of having a goddess for a girlfriend.

I didn't realize my mini tantrum took so long. By the time I was finished with my internal struggle, the game had 3 minutes left. Well, better get out now before it gets too crowded. I got up from my seat and slowly weave my way down the bleachers. I headed to the girl's locker room and waited by the entrance. When I heard the buzzer and the crowd cheer, I knew the game had ended. From afar, I could see students entering the hallway still hyped after the game. Then came the smelly athletes who were too excited to notice me. The cheerleaders were right behind them. They both headed into their respective locker rooms.

My eyes caught onto Stella, who was the last girl to enter the locker room. Before she entered, she came to me and wrapped her arms around my neck.

"So did you like it?" she asked smiling.

"Yeah, the game was great! I'm glad we won." I replied.

"No, silly. I meant the routine that I did. Was it good?" she asked again. I looked down to meet her eyes. It was glimmering with excitement as she waited for the answer. As I thought back to the performance, I remembered those guys hollering at my girl and unconsciously, a frowned appeared in my face.
