Hidden Truths

Chapter 3

Nicole's POV

"WHAT?!" the 4 of us screamed.

"Wait how did we get dragged into this?" Casper asked.

"Remember that time we accidentally dented his car, because you decided to throw a football a me? Yeah well, this is his revenge." Lilly answered.

There was sudden silence and all eyes were on me. Ok, pretend you don't see them, remember no attention. I went back to finish backing my things and ran out the door. Heading towards my locker to get my books, I was secretly happy that I got to spend time with Stella, but kinda sad cause I usually have activities after school with my friends. No I am not in any clubs at this school and yes I have friends, they just don't go here. They are all in college, I don't know why but all of my friends are older than me. Its one of those things that can't be explained. Though, I haven't seen them since they all went off to college, so I'm also excited to meet them again. They took a break from school and is staying for about a month or so.

We had a whole week planed out. Today we are going skydiving, tomorrow is rock climbing, and Friday is bungee jumping/ cliff diving. Yeah, I'm a total extreme freak. Just love the thrill. I don't what to miss any of these things, though I really want to spend time with Stella. All during math class, she was glancing at me and trying to 'accidently' touch me. She thought I didn't notice, but she is kinda like an open book, just have to look on the right page.

The day was as long as ever. Love learning but hate classes. At the end of the day when the last bell rung, I almost jumped out of my seat. I was a little too hyped up about skydiving. It wasn't my first time doing so, but it was my first time skydiving with a snowboard! Its going to be epic, we are going to jump out of the plane and glide down onto the top of the ski hill and race to the bottom. If my mother knew about this she would have a heart attack. Well, my parents kinda gets a general idea of what I'm doing but they don't get full detail.

On my way to my locker, I finished some homework so that I wouldn't have to do any tonight. Arriving at my locker I put everything that I didn't need back to that my backpack could be lighter on the way home. I suddenly felt the creepy feeling like I was being watch, then feeling a presence behind me I turned around to see 3 people staring at me. They were not just any group of people, they were Stella, Lilly, and Casper, top 3 popular kids everyone worships. Being the tallest girl in school standing at 6'2" I couldn't really look down, otherwise they would see my face, so I just looked to the side, then down. Can't help getting nervous, got to still keep a low cover but with them being near me, I just attract unwanted attention.

"Um.. So yeah, seems like you're our tutor. When do we start?" Lilly asked.

"I was thinking maybe today or Friday?" Casper suggested. NOOOO! Today and Friday are my favorite trips. God why must you do this.

"How about tomorrow?" I said, desperately wanting it to be tomorrow. I can go rock climbing anytime.

"It is a she and she talks." I heard Lily whispers to Stella, who in return elbowed the girl in the stomach. It made me chuckled a bit, but it was kind of quiet I doubt anyone heard.

"Can't, I have a game tomorrow." Casper said.

"That only leaves Friday available cause me and Lilly have plans today." Stella said.

"And you guys didn't invited me?" Casper sound offended.

"Hey this is girl stuff, unless you want to spend about an hour in Victoria Secret." Lilly laughed.

"Maybe I do." Casper challenged. I took this as a cue to sneak off, but as I was just about turn the corner Stella caught me.

"Nicole!" she yelled, I turned around slightly, "So does Friday work for you?" Wanting this to end, I just nodded. Her face lit up and I swear it was the most adorable thing I have ever seen. Just wanted to run over there and pinch her cheeks, but continued walking on.
