"Tough morning? How's your sister Rose?" She smirked as she said Rose. She doesn't like her either which doesn't make me feel like a bad person.
"Well I screamed at her in the 2 hours I was awake so yeah, bad start to a day." I sighed
She started blabbing on about her art project where she had to sketch the Australian outback. I helped her color it and by the time we arrived at school we were finished. Jenna and I have different classes in almost every subject except English. English my major and my favourite.
The day goes through fast. By the end I was truly ready to go home for the long weekend. I wait for Jake and Rose by the end of the long line of trees a street away from the school. They don't take long and at first we walk in silence back home.
"How was your day Lisa?" My sister breaks the peacefulness.
"What do you think? I'm going to sleep outside tonight." I moan.
"Can we come?" "God no!" My sister rolls her eyes and starts talking to Jake. They talk the whole journey while I'm walking beside them in silence.
When we reach home, I unpack my bag and go write in my journal.
Rose POV:
Jake and I enter the house and watch Lisa walk to her room.
"Is she getting worse?" Jake asks quietly incase Lisa could still hear us.
"No, she should be fine but..." I don't want to say what I'm really thinking.
"Sorry I shouldn't have asked. So, what horror movie do you wanna watch?"
"House at the end of the street, for sure!" I smiled back at him.
We sit on the couch. Jake puts the disc in and comes sits next to me. During the movie I cringe at the jump scares and Jake just laughs. He isn't scared that easily. We eat popcorn and I end up spilling some because I get scared so easily.
When the screen goes black I check the time and realize it's close to midnight and I see a faint light outside, knowing it's Lisa camping out.
Suddenly a knock on the door. It's loud and demanding. I peer over at Jake and he has a serious look on his face.
"I'll get-"
"No stay here, who knows what they're doing here at midnight." Jake says.
I stay sitting while Jack stands. But as he walks closer to the door, a knock from the window, more loud this time. I yelp a little and quickly stand up and next to Jake.
"I'll get us both a knife." I whispered. I tip toed to the kitchen and grabbed some. I came back and gave one to Jake. A sudden chills goes through my body and I start shaking.
"Lisa... where's Lisa? We need to get Lisa! She's all alone out there!" I start yelling but Jake covers my mouth as I say the last word.
"Shh! You'll give us away. We'll get her in a second, the stranger doesn't know she's out there. Turn off all the lights...NOW!" He lets go of me and I run to all the light switches. The last one is my sisters room. I go down the hall and enter her room. As soon as I turn it off a face appears at the window but it's too dark to see the apperence of the person. I scream and shut the door. Breathing heavily I run to Jake.
"There's a man! There's a man outside. He was there at the window. WE NEED TO GO PLEASE JAKE I'M SCARED." I start screaming. He puts one of his arms around me while I sob quietly. We stand in silence in darkness. If a pin dropped, we could hear it. A small creak in the floor boards sounds from Lisa's room. It gets louder and closer and a shadow appears at the end of the hall. I stare with wide eyes and completely freeze. It has a knife.
