Chapter 2

Alexi's POV

I was sitting in my room, it was a Saturday, so I stayed home. I lifted up my shirt slightly and looked at my stomach in the mirror. I started to cry as I remembered what the bullies called me. They called me 'Fat', 'Pig', 'Chubby', and many more. My thoughts were interrupted when I got a call from Leo, "Hey, Lexi, wanna meet up somewhere?" I replied, trying to hide that I was crying,"Nah, I'm gonna stay home today." I heard tapping at my window, I looked and saw Mikey. I opened the window and he jumped in. "Sup, Mikey." I said. "Sup Alex. You ok?" "Yeah, just t-thinking." I cried quietly. "Woah, girl, you ok?" I nodded, then Mikey took out his phone and called someone. "Listen, Leo. I don't care how busy you are! Lexi is upset and I don't know what to do! -pause- Ok, see you soon."

Leo showed up a few minutes. He sat next to me and I hugged him. He hugged me back and stroked my hair lightly. "Lexi, why were you crying?" Leo asked. "Remember when I used to come to the lair, and I was in tears, but I just said 'nothing'?" He nodded. "Well, bullies were the problem. They called me fat, pig, and many more. Looking at me brought back the memories and it scared me. It also brought back memories of my abusive dad who left us when I was about 11." I cuddled close into his chest, before I drifted off to sleep, he whispered,"Good night and good dreams, Alexi."

••Next day••

I woke up to someone jumping on my bed. I opened my eyes and saw the guys, and Mikey was jumping on my bed, then he screamed, "HAPPY SWEET 16 LEXI!!" I completely forgot, it's September 17. (sorry for the interruption, but September 17th is my actual birthday) "Thanks you guys." I jumped up and hugged all of them. "I can't believe you guys remembered my birthday!" I squealed. "That's all Leo had been talking about for the past two weeks. He got you something really special." Donnie said. I looked at Leo, he was holding a little box. "Close your eyes." I closed them and I felt something cold on my neck. "Open them now." I opened my eyes, Leo was holding a hand mirror and I saw there was a gold heart locket, engraved in it was, 'To Alexi, my best friend since I was a little kid. Leo <3' I opened it and there was a picture of when we were 5, then there was a picture of us from a few days ago. I smiled and hugged him. "Thank you, I love it." I whispered. I sat back down and Mikey said,"There is one more gift he wants to give to you, I private." The guys swung out the window and I looked at Leo. 'I wonder what the gift is?'
