Colette's POV

''Should we wake her?'' ''You want me to get a bucket of icy water?'' ''Is she dead?'' "No, 'course not!'' I heard a couple of voices that I didn't recognize, then a voice that sounded just like my aunt. '' Sweet, wake up. The time to sleep is over- remember? You came right here to join the agency, remember?''

" Is that you, auntie? And why'd I black out? Why's the agency under a pizza parlor? Is this reality? Who do the other voices belong to? What's up with this whole 'secret agent' thing anyways? Was that pizza parlor guy one of your agents? How'd I end u-'', I rambled on, before I was so very rudely interrupted by my aunt, '' Yes, it's me, you probably had a shock, it just is, yes it is, my other agents, it's my job, and for the one you were about to ask, you had initial shock to your system.'', she answered my questions. ''oh, and you should probably open up your eyes now'', she added as an afterthought.

I opened up my eyes, and gazed up at the people looking down at me worriedly. I noticed one pair of eyes that stood out the most to me, them being the ones with a blueish hue that had a hint of violet in them. I immediately recognized them as my aunt Vi's beautiful eyes.

I struggled to get up into a sitting position, but I eventually did it with the help of several hands. As soon as I did get into a proper position, a wave of nausea hit me, and I had to lay back down on the floor again to clear away the feeling of sickness. ''May I please go to the bathroom?'', I asked as politely as I could, when another wave of nausea hit me, all of a sudden. ''Down the red hallway, first door to the left'', somebody said. I just nodded my thanks, and sped off down the hallway trying to find the red hallway, then the door. I ran inside, but before I could lock it, I threw up all over the floor, and then I collapsed, hitting something in the process.

The last thing that I saw was my aunt come running into the bathroom, a panicked look on her face, that become even more worried looking as she saw me on the floor. She stuck her head out the door and called out to someone, ''Another injured one, inside here! Come quick! She's losing a lot of blood!'' That's when my vision started to get hazy, and I felt dizzy as well. Some paramedics ran into the room, carrying a stretcher (portable gurney) in the process, and some came over to me, carrying a first aid kid. One checked my pulse, another one my heartbeat, a third applying pressure to a spot on my head, and a fourth taking out some gauze and wrapping my head in it. They then picked me up, and put me on the stretcher, and wheeled me out of the bathroom, my aunt hot on their heels. That's when I threw up all over myself, and blacked out, yet again.

Beeeeeeeeep. Beeeeeeeeep. Beeeeeeeeep.Beeeeeeeeep. Beeeeeeeep.

A beeping sound was heard, and it was so incredibly annoying that I wanted to wake up and destroy the source of the sound. I opened my eyes, and the first thing I noticed was the sharp pain in my head, and a bunch of UV drips all around the bed, their tubes turning into needles at the end, all injected in my arm. I wonder what had happened? Then I noticed a familiar mop of curly brown hair, sitting in a chair at the side of my bed without all the needles in my arm, holding my hand with a grip that would have put a professional wrestler to shame, and sobbing her heart out. ''I can't believe it. It's all my fault. She could have had a longer life if it wasn't for me. It was probably because of all the bleeding from her head. I should probably have followed her into the bathroom. Then she wouldn't have had such a severe injury. Atleast she didn't die from the surgery. But she did after a couple hours prior to the surgery. She must have lost so much blood. I can't believe it.'', she choked out, her crying enveloping her again.

But then I croaked out, ''What happened? Who died?'' Her head snapped up immediately, and her expression was of so much shock, that I would have laughed if I wasn't feeling so down. That's also the moment that the doctor decided to walk into the room, and his expression of shock was brilliant, it looked like he was about to faint. He came over and said in bewilderment, ''You're alive? Unbelievable! Your heart had stopped, and your organs had stopped working. I myself, had pronounced you dead, after 1 hour of your heart not beating. Bu..bu..but you're alive! It's a miracle! A true miracle!'' , ''If you don't mind, we'd like to do some tests on you, to make sure that your heart won't give out again. '', he asked. I nodded, '' As long as it's alright with my aunt, it's fine with me.'' '''Course it is. I'll see you again after the examination, sweet. '', Aunt Vi said, in a shaky voice.

After the examination was over, I ran over to my aunt and hugged her. We shared an emotional moment in the middle of the hospital, not caring if anybody saw us. ''I thought that I'd lost you. You know, my whole life revolves around you. I love you more than anything in the world. ''

''Aww, don't worry auntie; I'd never leave you for good. You know that. Together...'' I trailed off. ''Forever...'', she continued ''Best friends...'', I said, smiling. ''Whenever.'', she finished. ''In spirits...'' ''Our souls..'' ''Being gold...'' ''Today...'' ''Tomorrow...'' ''Always!'', we said simultaneously, each wiping a tear that escaped our eyes. Hand in hand, we left the hospital, each grinning, with a smile plastered on our faces that reached our eyes.

The best day ever, then the worst day, then still the worst day, and now the best day ever, all over again. Spending it all with my best friend, my guardian, and most importantly the person who has never left my side since the day I was born.

What happened today was a miracle. I guess that miracles are real. Just not in the ways that people always expect them to be. It's a miracle that I have come so far. Without my aunt, I would be a nobody.

Miracles are meant to happen. And when they do, you truly start seeing the world as it is; a beautiful place that you have been blessed to live in and thrive, alongside the people that you love and care about.
